WELLNESS ROOM UNVEILED
March 4 was the grand opening of the newest space on campus, the Wellness Room!
Cozily tucked away in the library, this peaceful space was brought to life by
BOLD scholars and is open for everyone on campus to enjoy.
CHARGERS EXCEL IN BUSINESS SIMULATION
Business administration majors reached an exciting milestone as they wrapped up
their stakeholder meeting simulation! Chargers did a stellar job acting as
senior executives and navigating a simulated business meeting.
WINTER FUN ON CAMPUS
Chargers are taking advantage of the winter weather and hitting the ice for some
pond hockey! One of the perks of Colby-Sawyer is that we get to enjoy every
activity each season has to offer.

Dan Munger ’21 has worked in accounting since graduation and continues to seek
out knowledge that will help him advance in his field.
RELATIONSHIPS DRIVE MIKAELA WHALEY ’22 IN WORK WITH TERMINALLY ILL PATIENTS
As a clinical research coordinator II with Phase I clinical trials at the Mass
General Cancer Center, Mikaela Whaley ’22 finds meaning in working with
terminally ill patients and their families.
COLBY-SAWYER STUDENTS UNCOVER NEW DATA EXPLAINING INCREASED FREQUENCY OF
BACTERIAL BLOOMS IN PLEASANT LAKE
A group of students in the college's Community-Based Research course have
uncovered important data that helps explain the increasing frequency of toxic
algae blooms in nearby Pleasant Lake. They presented their findings to the
public in December, and will continue their research during the spring semester.
SERVICE IN LEADERSHIP COURSE GIVES COLBY-SAWYER STUDENTS OPPORTUNITY TO SHINE
Students in Dave Zamansky's service in leadership course have the opportunity to
take on the problems they most want to solve in the world.
NURSE AVERY BRENNAN ’21 USES HER LIBERAL EDUCATION BACKGROUND ON THE JOB
Avery Brennan ’21 credits Colby-Sawyer’s nursing program and liberal education
program for providing the foundation she needed to be successful in her nursing
career.
PROFESSOR RANDY HANSON APPOINTED DEAN OF SCHOOL OF BUSINESS & SOCIAL SCIENCES
Professor Randy Hanson, in his 28th year at Colby-Sawyer, has been named the
college’s next dean of the School of Business & Social Sciences. He will begin a
five-year appointment as dean in January 2024.
COLLEGE CARPENTRY SHOP DEDICATED IN HONOR OF NORM GREEN
The carpentry shop located in the Facilities Management building on Main Street
was recently dedicated in honor of Norm Green, who passed away last spring
following 25 years of service as the college’s master carpenter.
