markets, Love has gathered immense cross-border financial markets know. His
previous assignments included working for Reliance Capital Group and its
affiliates across 3 countries, F&C India (Foreign and Colonial, a UK based and
oldest asset management company on the planet) and in the investment advisory
business of Kotak Mahindra Bank. His track record in Islamic Finance includes
the set-up and operation of Reliance Global Shari’ah Growth Fund, Reliance India
Shari’ah Growth Fund, Reliance China-India Shari’ah Growth Fund. Love embodies
Entrepreneurship as the central theme of his assignments and fosters free
thinking and innovation in developing products, markets and people.


MOHAMMAD MANSOOR

Director

Mohammad Mansoor is a career entrepreneur and has been associated with multiple
successful ventures spread across waste to energy, CBD Oil, Tea processing,
Global commodity trade, Electric Vehicles and food logistics amongst others.

Currently he sits on the board of A2Z Infrastructure (India) Ltd. and one of the
pioneers in the waste to energy sector and is one of the largest company in
India deploying transmission lines solutions for various governments.

Mansoor through his other ventures has been actively engaged in global commodity
trade especially between India and Middle East with a focus on primary
commodities including soya based edible oils, corn, barley and rice. Over the
years he has gained tremendous experience in government supplies and tendering
with commodity sourcing being the major strength between him and his team.

Through his investment holding company ICP Holdings Pvt. Ltd. Mansoor has been
an investor in Tea processing sector in Sri Lanka, CBD Oil, Food logistics and
Electric Vehicle segments in India and Sri Lanka.

While actively managing his global interests Mansoor spends his time between
India and Sri Lanka, Majority of his global operations are handled by his base
in Sri Lanka through his investment holding company.


AASHIQ AMINUDDIN

Managing Partner

Aashiq presently functions as the Managing Partner. He carries with him 16 years
of experience of which most has been in Management, Marketing and Communications
with over 5 years of Senior Management exposure in financial services in Sri
Lanka and the Maldives at Amana Takaful PLC and its subsidiaries. Now serving in
the arena of Investment Banking, Asset Management and Wealth Management
advisory, Aashiq in the past has been involved and led multiple business and
brand development projects, organised IPO and product launches and also
contributed to product realignment and development initiatives that won Amana
Takaful Life an award for turnaround brand of the year conferred by Sri Lanka
Institute of Marketing. He started his career as a radio
journalist/editor/presenter at E FM which later led him to be invited to read
news for Television at Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation. He holds a business
degree awarded by Staffordshire University, UK through APIIT Lanka and a Masters
from the Post Graduate Institute of Management (PIM), Sri Lanka. He carried a
Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing
(CIM). He also has an Award in Financial planning form the Chartered Institute
of Insurance, UK.


ZAHRAN NASSATH

Chief Operating Officer

Zaharan Nassath has 10 years of experience as a Islamic Banking and Finance
professional. He is specialized in handling investment portfolios of HNWs and
corporate, Treasury Management, Product Development, Real Estate Management. He
was also part of the team that developed the Sri Lanka’s First Shari’ah
Complaint Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT).

Zaharan’s exposure includes local and overseas institutional training in Islamic
Banking conducted by BIBF Bahrain, PWC Bahrain and INCIEF. Academically, he
holds a Diploma in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management (OUSL),
Diploma in Business Management (BMS, OUSL) and Financial Management (DFM,
Merit). He is currently reading for his Gradation in Business Management and
pursuing his Investment Advisor license by the Securities and Exchange
Commission of Sri Lanka.


BASRI HAMEED

Chief Executive Officer

Basri Hameed accounts for over 17 years of senior management experience. He is
reputed in the industry for his drive in business development and has built a
strong portfolio of clients. He was a founder member of one of Sri Lanka’s
leading “Bottled Water” companies and was overseeing the operations of multiple
verticals both locally and internationally. During his tenure he played the lead
role in launching new products in existing markets and establishing operations
out of Sri Lanka. Academically, he holds a Masters in Business and
Administration conferred by Edith Coven University Australia and part
qualification from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).

Manager - Institutional Business Development

Samila joined the team Group as Manager – Institutional Business Development in
July 2017 with 08 years of experience in the Financial services industry that
marked noteworthy achievements in his professional career.

Samila has had exposure in banking and finance through Hong Kong and Shanghai
Banking Corporation (HSBC) serving in Retail Banking and Wealth Management and
Softlogic Finance PLC where he was involved in Fund Mobilisation.

His last assignment prior to joining the team was at NatWealth Group where he
served as Manager – Marketing where he aggressively marketed Treasury Bonds,
Treasury Bills, Repurchases Agreements and Reverse Repurchase Agreements to
Corporate and High Net-Worth Individuals. He has successfully executed placement
transactions with leading Corporates and Financial institutes during his tenor
with NatWealth.

Samila is currently studying for MBA from the University of Cardiff
Metropolitan, UK.


ABDUL JABBAR

Vice president - Institutional Business Development

Abdul Jabbar joined the team as Vice president - Institutional business
development with 8 years experience in capital market and finance companies with
notable achievements in his professional career. His area of work has mostly
been into establishing a strong network of HNIs and corporates in Equity and
Capital markets.

Abdul Jabbar is a Certified Management Accountant and holds a bachelors degree
from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka where he specialised in
management studies. He is also a registered as an investment advisor by the
Securities and Exchange Commission, Sri Lanka.

His career saw him serve at several leading financial institutionsin Sri Lanka
that includes Peoples Bank, Bartleet Religare Securities and the Amana Group.
Previously, he served as Chief Operating Officer at Fortune Capital Associates
which manages SME sector finance and accounts.


AAQIL BIN RAFEEKULLA

Aaqil Bin Rafeekulla holds more than 3 years of experience in financial analysis
with specific focus on credit evaluations as well as hands-on exposure into
auditing. His attention to detail and keen insights led him into work with KPMG
on selected forensic audits on large scale unlisted businesses. At KPMG, Aaqil
worked in the Internal Audit, Risk and Compliance Services (IARCS) and Fraud
investigations and has gained invaluable exposure to the hotel industry, banking
sector, finance firms and manufacturing entities. He holds a partial
qualification in management accounting (CIMA).

Aaqil presently drives initiatives in research and credit evaluations for the
company’s projects and provides opinions and recommendations.

Nazeem Ghaffoor accounts for over 13 years of exposure in the distribution of
Islamic Finance in Sri Lanka and Maldives. His entry into Islamic Finance was
through Amana Takaful PLC where he last served as Asst. General Manager of Sales
and Distribution. During his tenure, Ghaffoor was instrumental in setting up the
distribution system and staffing as the company grew and opened new branches and
created new teams amounting to 150+ in Sri Lanka and the Maldives. He holds an
MBA - Business Management conferred by the Ultragate University, Philippines.


DR. IFTHIKAR ISMAIL

Dr. Ifthikar Ismail brings with him an array of experience to the Board. His
previous positions in office include, Vice Chairman, Unilever Ceylon, Principal,
Zahira College and the CEO of APIIT Lanka. Dr.Ifthikar holds a PhD from St.
Andrews University, UK, and a BSc. (Hons.) from the University of Ceylon.


DR. A.A.M. HAROON

Dr. A.A.M. Haroon is a Medical Practitioner, by profession. He also holds the
Chairmanship of several private companies, encompassing different industries
including Garments, Health Care and Clinical Diagnostics.


EHSAN ZAHEED

Ehsan Zaheed currently serves as the Director of Amana Capitaland related
companies and serves as the Executive Director of Amana Holdings.He served as
Chief Executive Officer/ Director of Amãna Takaful PLC for almost a decade prior
to taking up a new developmental role at Amana Holdings.He is a Fellow Member of
the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and Associate Member of the
Society of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka. He is also a member of
the Institute of Public Accountants of Australia. Zaheed completed his articles
at Ernst and Young. Having worked with several leading private sector financial
bodies, Zaheed has had immense exposure in Sri Lanka and overseas
