Our Ju-Jitsu club is more than just a place to train—it’s a vibrant part of the
larger community. We believe that martial arts can positively impact society,
building not only individual strength and discipline but also fostering a spirit
of unity and mutual respect. Our doors are open to all, regardless of age or
skill level, with a focus on creating an inclusive environment where everyone
can grow together. While we offer opportunities for those interested in
competition, it’s entirely optional. Our primary goal is to contribute to the
well-being of the broader community by promoting values like respect,
resilience, and cooperation.

Combat Ju–Jutsu is both a sport and a method of self-defense. It combines the
skills necessary to survive and triumph in real-life combat situations against
one or more opponents with the rigorous experience of full-contact sports
competition. This blend of sports fighting techniques and practical combat
skills offers the most comprehensive training available.

Combat Ju–Jutsu encompasses the essence of what lies between two strikes,
embodying the fluidity and precision required for effective combat and
self-defense.

FAQ

What is the difference between Ju-jitsu and Ju-jutsu ?

They are the same thing. It’s only a matter of romanization (spelling Japanese
words using roman letters).

What is the difference between Combat Ju-jutsu and MMA ?

Combat Ju-Jutsu focuses on self-defense and practical combat techniques,
emphasizing real-life scenarios, including multiple attackers and armed defense,
suitable for military and police training. It includes a wide range of
techniques like joint locks, throws, and strikes, with less emphasis on
standardized competition.
Combat Ju-jutsu is practiced with a guy, matches are short (between 2 and 4 min)
which emulates a high intensity fight close to a real situation of self-defense.

MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) is a competitive sport combining striking and grappling
techniques from various martial arts. It is governed by specific rules to ensure
safety, with a focus on winning matches in a controlled environment such as a
ring or cage.

What is the difference between traditional Ju Jitsu and Combat Ju-jutsu ?

Traditional Ju-Jitsu focuses on historical techniques, self-defense, and
preserving Japanese martial arts heritage, often taught through structured forms
and kata. It emphasizes personal development, discipline, and cultural
traditions.

Combat Ju-Jitsu adapts traditional techniques for modern self-defense and
practical combat scenarios, particularly for military and law enforcement.
Training involves realistic drills, scenario-based exercises, and emphasizes
effectiveness in real-world situations.

I would like to learn but I don´t want to compete.
