Register: 2022 Summer Hockey


2022 ABYHA SUMMER ICE CLINICS

Wednesdays at NVO Rink 1 (July 13 – August 31)

Cost is $200 per skater for 8 weeks (goalie information below)

The on-ice format of these weekly clinics will be a blend of fun and competitive
Small Area Games mixed with individual skill development drills. Our ultimate
focus will be developing each player’s skating, shooting and puck-handling
skills, utilizing USA Hockey’s American Development Model (ADM).

Hour 1 – 5:55 -6:55 PM: Mite and Squirt Players (2013 - 2015 Birth Years)

Hour 2 – 7:05 – 8:05 PM: Squirt and Peewee Players (2010 – 2012 Birth Years)

Hour 3 – 8:15 – 9:15 PM: Bantam Players (2008 & 2009 Birth Years)

- The Bantam hour will focus significant time on the fundamentals of checking
and body contact as well as skating instruction with Jess Dupuis
 

GOALIES


Please note, there is no registration fee for full time goalies. Please contact
Kyle Meek at kyle_meek@yahoo.com if you are a full-time goalie to confirm your
expected attendance schedule or for anyone that is interested in trying the
position during the Summer clinic and would like to borrow equipment.

 


LEARN TO PLAY

Information and registration for our Learn to Play (LTP / mosquito) program will
be released in September, and starts in October.


COACH / VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION

All coaches and other volunteers must register with ABYHA via the  
Coach/Volunteer registration process. 

You will need to register with USA hockey first and will be required to confirm
by supplying your USA hockey registration number and  you have submitted your
background check request via the new Background Check process prior to being
able to register with ABYHA.

WELCOME

Founded in 1970, the Acton-Boxboro Youth Hockey Association serves boys and
girls in the towns of Acton, Boxboro, Harvard, and Bolton Massachusetts. Our
home rink is the Nashoba Valley Olympia on Route 111 in Boxboro (directions).
Our teams play in the Valley League, and our girls team play in the Middlesex
Yankee Conference.

We have teams from the Mite to Midget level, Girls teams combined with Concord
Carlisle Youth Hockey, and a learn to skate program with six intramural learn to
play ("Mosquito") teams. We have a long, proud heritage. Our program is based
upon the principle of making our children's hockey experience as enjoyable as
possible, with a strong emphasis on skating and skills development and having
fun with hockey. Some of our players have graduated to the National Hockey
League, and others have played for their high school and college teams.
