The country has created a military control list and system under Law 185/1990 on new provisions on controlling the export, import and transit of military goods and related secondary instruments. Italy has also created a control system for related dual-use materials under Legislative Decree 221/2017, partially updated by Article 23 of Law Decree 69/2023.
