HEAD OF AP AMERICAS BUSINESS ‘OPTIMISTIC’ ABOUT FUTURE OF NEWS INDUSTRY

More Stevens News

WHAT WE'RE NOT

A lot of universities like to talk about what they are — and that's cool — but
we're going to do something different and tell you what we're not. Which means
most importantly we're not big — we're perfectly sized for you and your
ambitions. We're not in the big city, but we're right by it. We don't preach,
but we do teach, mentor and listen. We don't focus on the past — we're busy
making the future. We don't just master technology; we create, debate and
explore our relationship with it. Most of all, we're not just a degree. We're
your first steps toward that dream job and your pathway toward leading the
future. So now that we've told you what we're not we hope that also tells you a
lot about what we are — and all that you can become — at Stevens.

FIND THE RIGHT PROGRAM FOR YOU

Technology is at the core of every one of Stevens’ dozens of degree programs, so
no matter what you study, you’ll be at the leading edge of the industry.
Discover your passion, then turn it into a career that’s personally and
professionally rewarding.

“Every day you are here, learn who you are, take risks, and never forget the
things that matter most. Make new friends, call your parents, and remember that
someday soon, your grades will no longer matter and you'll probably both regret
and laugh at how much you stressed over passing that test. The relationships you
sustain and the memories you make will never leave you, so work hard and do your
best, but never let go of what matters most to you.”

Try to study or intern abroad at least once. Traveling by yourself, meeting
people abroad and
immersing yourself in another culture is an enlightening, refreshing and
maturing experience. The
freedom you feel while abroad and the freshness of being in a new place are
something everyone
should experience as soon as they can. Also, it’s a great resume booster! My
internship abroad in South
Korea helped me to gain an internship experience right after my freshmen year
that impressed a lot of
my co-op interviewers and was a unique experience that not many other people
have.”
