ABOUT THE NEBRASKA LOTTERY

The Nebraska Lottery formed in 1993, becoming the 37th state lottery in the
United States.

Prior to 2004, Nebraska had been one of the state lotteries that contributed
money to its state’s general fund instead of focusing on specific programs.
After a voter-approved amendment, however, the Nebraska Lottery started dividing
proceeds among public education, environmental programs, compulsive gambling
recovery assistance, and the state fair.

Since 1993, the Nebraska Lottery has raised a total of over $717M for the
state’s various programs.


NEBRASKA LOTTERY TICKETS

Nebraska Lottery tickets are available at any of the many authorized retailers
found all over the state. You may claim prizes for any winning tickets within
180 days of the game draw.


CAN I BUY NE LOTTERY TICKETS ONLINE?

Unfortunately not. Like most state lotteries, the Nebraska Lottery only allows
you to buy tickets in person.


NE LOTTERY TICKETS PAYMENT METHODS

The Nebraska Lottery, unlike many state lotteries (like Louisiana and Arkansas),
allows ticket purchases made with cash, check, cashier's check, traveler's
check, credit card, debit card, or even official coupons or certificates issued
by the Nebraska Lottery or authorized retailers. Of course, each retailer has
the ultimate say on which payment methods they’ll accept.




NEBRASKA LOTTERY GAMES AND DRAWING SCHEDULES


LUCKY FOR LIFE

Nebraska is one of 20+ states that offer the Lucky for Life draw game. Other
states include Idaho, Delaware, and Oklahoma.

Players must select 5 numbers from 1-48 and a Lucky Ball number from 1-18. To
win the jackpot, a player must match all 6 winning draw numbers. This wins them
$1,000 a day for life. The second prize, meanwhile, grants $25,000 a year for
life to players who match all 5 regular numbers but not the Lucky Ball.

Lucky for Life draws take place every Monday and Thursday.


MYDAY

MyDaY is a calendar-themed draw game that offers up to $5000 in prizes per draw.

To play, you must pick 6 numbers in total: 2 numbers from 01-12 for the month; 2
numbers from 01-31 for the day; and 2 numbers, each from 0-9, for the year.

There is a catch: You can only choose valid dates, so combinations like 02/30
(February 30), 11/31 (November 31), and 06/31 (June 31) will be rejected. In
keeping with leap years, the 02/29 combination will only be allowed alongside
year numbers that are divisible by 4 (including 00).

MyDaY draws are held every day.


PICK 5

The Nebraska Pick 5 is a state-exclusive game with a starting jackpot of $50,000
that rolls over with every draw until somebody wins. The jackpot is divided
equally among multiple winners (if applicable), and it is always paid out as a
lump sum.

To play, you must pick 5 numbers from 1-39. Matching all 5 winning draw numbers
nets you the jackpot.

Nebraska Pick 5 draws are held every day.


PICK 3

The Nebraska Pick 3 lottery runs daily, with a fixed jackpot of $600 per draw.
However, your maximum prize depends on your chosen playstyle. There are 9
possible ways to win.

Players must select a number from 000 to 999 and a playstyle. A player who
matches all the winning draw numbers in exact order wins the highest-value prize
($600).

You can choose from the following playstyles:

 * Straight: You must match the winning numbers in the exact order.
 * Box (3-Way or 6-Way): You can match the winning numbers in any order.
 * Straight/Box (3-Way or 6-Way): You can match the winning numbers in exact or
   any order.
 * Combo: You can match 3, 2, or 1 digit/s in their exact position from the
   winning draw.


2BY2

The Nebraska Lottery runs 2by2, a multi-state draw game also offered in states
like Kansas. The game has a fixed jackpot of $22,000 for each draw, and prizes
are paid out in lump sums by default.

Players must pick two numbers from 1-26 in their playslip’s Red area. Then, they
must do the same in their playslip’s White area. If you purchase a ticket for
consecutive draws in multiples of 7 (e.g., 7 draws, 14 draws, and so on), you
automatically qualify for 2by2 Tuesday, which doubles any prizes you win on
Tuesdays.

2by2 draws are held daily.

NEBRASKA LOTTERY SECOND CHANCES


WHAT IS SECOND CHANCE?

You can get another chance to win prizes through second chance games that accept
non-winning draw game tickets or scratch cards. These games allow you to enter
your non-winning tickets in completely new draws, often for prizes like cash,
merchandise, or even trip packages. Which tickets are eligible, the frequency of
second-chance draws and the prizes on offer all depend on the lottery operator.
