The Europeana Initiative stands in solidarity with the people of Ukraine.


WE ARE EUROPEANA

We empower the cultural heritage sector in its digital transformation. We
develop expertise, tools and policies to embrace digital change and encourage
partnerships that foster innovation. We make it easier for people to use
cultural heritage for education, research, creation and recreation. Our work
contributes to an open, knowledgeable and creative society.

NEW PROJECT EXPLORES CROWDSOURCING IN ESTONIAN CULTURAL HERITAGE INSTITUTIONS

In 2021, the Europeana Research Grants programme awarded funding for innovative
projects exploring crowdsourcing and research. What did the winners achieve?  We
hear from Dr Mari-Leen Tammela, from the Estonian War Museum – General Laidoner
Museum, about how they were able to support cultural heritage institutions to
produce crowdsourcing plans.
