David F.K Mpanga, a renowned city lawyer has been replaced in a new Buganda
Kingdom cabinet reshuffle.

Mpanga has been assigned as Minister of Special Assignments.

The reshuffle is usually presided over by the King, Kabaka Ronald Muwenda
Mutebi.

It’s very strange that the reshuffle has affected very few people while many
senior officials at the palace have retained their positions.

 *

Whether the reshuffle was targeting Mpanga, who in the recent past had been
named in illicit transactions regarding sale of Crane Bank by Bank of Uganda
remains a subject of debate among a section of the public.

Charles Peter Mayiga has been retained as the Katikkiro (Prime Minister) of the
Buganda government.
