Your role

• monitor any relevant change in legal and regulatory requirement and ensure
that such change is considered appropriately to counteract the risks that may
arise from non-compliance with legal rules and regulations
• oversee the demonstration of regulatory adherence with material laws, rules
and regulations throughout UBS Europe SE according to MaRisk principles,
liaising with stakeholders from all business and group functions
• continuously strive to bring enhancements to the MaRisk process
• understand the business, key risks, regulations and technology impacting the
business
• establish, maintain and review policies, procedures and controls reasonably
designed to comply with laws, rules, regulations, and industry standards
• evaluate regulatory requirements and its implementation according to Minimum
Requirements for Risk Management (MaRisk)
• support and coordination of internal and external audits and a branch wide
risk assessment
• work closely with colleagues in Legal, and Compliance & Operational Risk
Control on regulatory changes, risk assessments, monitoring and surveillance,
testing, training and regulatory engagement
• ensure the necessary risk frameworks are appropriately designed and operating
effectively across the consequential risk taxonomies

Your expertise

• a degree in law, banking and finance, economics or similar subject
• 4-5 years of experience in compliance, risk management or similar
• Experience of European regulatory framework and supervisory approach
• Insights in Compliance function according to MaRisk
• analytic, with the ability to provide practical solutions for minimizing risk
• result-oriented and collaborative (you put the team’s interest first)
• proactive and problem solver
• fluent in English
• good command of German will be advantageous
• feel comfortable in an international environment and enjoy working with teams
based in multiple locations
