Collaborative AI empowers your team to unleash the potential of divergent

the big picture by using AI to generate ideas, extend brainstorming sessions,
uncover key themes, and rapidly summarize the latest working session.

Currently, our AI capabilities support English only. If you are using Lucid in
English, keep reading to learn how to utilize Collaborative AI.

Lucid is dedicated to upholding its commitments to you regarding the privacy,
security, and safety of your data, including with any Collaborative AI features.
Your use of these features is subject to either our Terms of Service or your MSA
with Lucid (as applicable) and Lucid's Supplemental AI Terms. Our current AI
features are powered by Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service.

Note: Collaborative AI is constantly improving. As a result, information
produced may be inaccurate, biased, misleading, inappropriate, offensive, or
outdated. Always confirm results generated with Collaborative AI.


GIVE FEEDBACK

GENERATE IDEAS

You can generate ideas with AI in Lucid from the Collaborative AI menu, the
Sticky Notes menu and Sticky Notes already on the canvas, and by adding a
Brainstorm quick action shape to the canvas. Continue reading to learn how.


FROM THE COLLABORATIVE AI MENU

To generate sticky notes containing new ideas from a prompt or keywords:

 1. Open a Lucidspark board.
 2. Selectthe Generate ideas icon from the Primary Toolbar on the left-side of
    the canvas.
 3. In the menu that appears, type relevant keywords or phrases into the text
    box.
 4. Click Generate.

You can find your AI generated ideas in a group of framed sticky notes on the
canvas.


FROM THE STICKY NOTES MENU

 1. Open a Lucidspark board.
 2. Select the Sticky Notes icon from the Primary Toolbar on the left-hand side
    of the canvas.
 3. Click the Quick Sticky icon at the bottom-left of the menu.
 4. Select AI stickies.
 5. Type relevant keywords or phrases in the text box to the right of the icon.
 6. Press “Enter” on your keyboard.


GENERATE MORE IDEAS FROM EXISTING STICKY NOTES

To populate more ideas on the Lucidspark canvas from existing sticky notes:

 1. Select one or more sticky notes.
    * Hold the shift key on your keyboard to select multiple objects.
 2. Clickthe Collaborative AI icon from the Context Toolbar that appears near
    the selected sticky notes.
 3. Select Generate more ideas.

The additional ideas that are generated will carry a title from the sticky notes
that were selected. You can edit the title by double-clicking the header title.

Tip: Generate ideas in fewer clicks by adding the Brainstorm quick action shape
to your canvas. To learn more about how to Use quick tools in Lucid, check out

SORT IDEAS

To sort a group of sticky notes on a Lucidspark board:

 1. Select six or more sticky notes.
    * Hold the shift key on your keyboard to select multiple objects.
 2. Clickthe Collaborative AI icon from the Context Toolbar that appears near
    the selected sticky notes.
 3. Select Sort ideas.

Lucid’s Collaborative AI will sort the sticky notes into categories shown in
Containers.



Tip: Add the Sort Ideas quick action to your canvas to sort with fewer clicks.

SUMMARIZE IDEAS

You can summarize ideas using Lucid’s Collaborative AI in both Lucidchart and
Lucidspark. Read the respective section below for instructions.


IN LUCIDSPARK

To summarize a group of sticky notes:

 1. Select one or more sticky notes.
    * Hold the shift key on your keyboard to select multiple objects.
 2. Clickthe Collaborative AI icon from the Context Toolbar that appears near
    the selected sticky notes.
 3. Select Summarize.

A Container will appear with a summary of your selected sticky notes.


IN LUCIDCHART

To summarize a diagram in Lucidchart:

 1. Select one or more shapes from a diagram.
 2. Right-click on the selected shapes.
 3. In the menu that appears, select Summarize.

A summary of your selected shapes will be grouped in a Container.

Tip: Add the Summarize quick action shape to your canvas to get an AI written
summary of your sticky notes and diagrams more quickly. Get more details about

FOR ADMINS: RESTRICT OR PERMIT ACCESS

Admins on Team and Enterprise accounts can control whether or not to give users
on their account access to Collaborative AI.

To restrict or permit access to Collaborative AI on your account:

 1. In your Lucid account, select Admin from the left-side panel.
 2. Click Security in the left-side menu.
 3. Select User feature controls from the menu to the left.
 4. Under “Collaborative AI”, use the toggle next to “Enable AI features:
    Summarize, Generate ideas, and Sort ideas”.
 5. Click Save changes in the upper-right corner

How will you use my data?
Lucid is dedicated to upholding its commitments to you regarding the privacy,
security, and safety of your data, including with any Collaborative AI features.
Please see our Terms of Service and your Enterprise MSA, if applicable. 

We do not use customer data to train models in a way that breaches the
confidentiality of our customers' data. We do not use your prompt inputs to
generate content for other customers based on your data. We do store documents
for your use and any content on those documents are stored for your use as well.

As we expand our AI capabilities we will continue to do so in a way that does
not breach the confidentiality of our customers' data.

Which AI models is Lucid using? 
Lucid's Collaborative AI platform employs AI models powered by Microsoft Azure
OpenAI Service. Learn more about their approach to data, privacy, and security.

What Lucid products and capabilities have access to Collaborative AI? 
Collaborative AI is available in Lucidchart and Lucidspark. At a future date, we
plan to extend Collaborative AI into Lucidscale and suite-wide capabilities like
Visual Activities.
