ABOUT THE TRAINING

Wood Mackenzie's online training covering the role of refining will provide
delegates with an understanding of the role of feedstock, refinery
configuration, and location as drivers of refinery cash earnings to assess
investment and portfolio opportunities. Multiple training dates are available
with Americas, EMEARC and APAC friendly times.

Alan is VP Refining, Chemicals and Oil Markets, responsible for formulating our
research outlook and integrated cross-sector perspectives on the global
downstream sector. Alan joined the business as part of our Downstream Consulting
Team in 2005 and later went on to lead the division. He has managed consulting
assignments all over the world, focusing on major transactions (projects and
M&A) and their alignment with key success factors for industry players and third
parties. He then transitioned into research upon his return to London from
Houston in 2011. Prior to joining Wood Mackenzie, Alan spent 10 years as an
industry consultant after working for ExxonMobil in a variety of project
planning and technical process design roles. Education MSc, Chemical
Engineering, Imperial College, London MBA, Henley Management College

Lei Sun is a Managing Consultant in Wood Mackenzie's APAC Refining & Assets
team, focusing on downstream asset evaluation and oil/products market for China.
Lei joined Wood Mackenzie in September 2019. Before Woodmac, he worked for
PetroChina as a process engineer and production manager for eight years after
graduating from college. He graduated from Columbia University with an MPA in
Economic Policy Management degree. He also has a double bachelor's degree in
Engineering and Economics from Xi'an Jiaotong University.

Senior Research Analyst, Refining and Oil Markets

Wood Mackenzie

Matt Kimmel is a Senior Research Analyst in the Wood Mackenzie Downstream
research team, focused on refining and oil product markets in North America. He
joined Wood Mackenzie in September 2021, bringing experience as a Process
Engineer in the Downstream industry. He spent six years in an integrated
refinery and petrochemical facility working on growth projects, operations
support, and asset optimization. Matt graduated from The Ohio State University
and holds a bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Economics.
