In May 2022 Dubai will host the third edition of the "Classic Strings" Violin
and Cello International Competition. The Competition for Violin will be held
from the 10th to the 23rd of May 2022, and the Competition for Cello will be
held from the 9th to the 18th of May 2022.

Following two highly successful incarnations of the festival, first in Riga in
2018 and again in Vienna in 2019, this third edition in 2022 will bring together
some of the finest young string players from around the world in a celebration
of virtuosity and friendly competition.

DEAR FRIENDS,

It gives me great pleasure to formally announce the third edition of the
“Classic Strings” Violin and Cello International Competition 2022.

Scheduled to take place in Dubai, the event will welcome string players from
across the globe in a celebration of music, the exchanging of knowledge and
friendly competition.

It is our wish to develop and support the upcoming generation of
instrumentalists, and to bring to our audiences world-class performances by
established virtuosos and gifted young musicians. We are extremely proud to
collaborate with so many renowned professors from across the world for this
competition, and are confident that their insights will provide lasting and
meaningful benefits to the next generation of aspiring players.

I am convinced that the “Classic Strings” Violin and Cello International
Competition 2022 will surpass all of our expectations and I look forward to
joining you all in Dubai for what promises to be an exhilarating and momentous
event.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who has worked to make
this event a reality, especially the members of our team and our valued
partners.

I would like to thank our audiences in advance for their continued support, and
to the participants I wish you all the very best of luck and success in the

DEAR GUESTS,

It gives me great pleasure to welcome all of you to the third edition of the
“Classic Strings” Competition for Violin and for Cello, taking place in Dubai
for the first time in May 2022.

The “Classic Strings” competition for violin and cello will be the first
competitive event of this magnitude for these instruments in the UAE, and we are
proud to invite a distinguished jury panel who will come from all over the world
to judge the competition. I know I speak for everyone involved when I say how
much we are looking forward to hearing the talented competitors participating in
the event, and what a fantastic experience we are sure this will be.

I would like to take this opportunity to give special thanks to CMDI Group,
SAMIT Event Group, the EUFSC and especially to Mr. Konstantin Ishkhanov, for the
collaboration, guidance and support. We have collaborated on many fantastic
projects in the past, and I have no doubt this event will be no different.

The UAE, though a relatively young city still forging its own legacy of
classical music performance, is nonetheless a global metropolis of unrivaled
dynamism and opportunity, with artists travelling here from all over the world
to communicate beautiful music to their audiences, whether through immigrating
or being a visiting artist.

We wish all invited artists and competition participants a wonderful
performance, and hope they enjoy the rare environment that Dubai has to offer.

We very much look forward to sharing beautiful music with you, music which
touches our souls and gives us hope for peace around the world.
