Hinterland studio doesnt provide any in game maps but a community member by the
name of whiteberry has created the most detailed maps one could ask for in the
long dark. The map is an interface showing a region of great bear island.

Broken railroad is the seventh region to be added to the game. The region

 * When using Fixed Files make sure to use a Firewall which controls outgoing
   traffic, as some games call back to report the use of these modified files!.
 * When this happens use the original EXE to play online, else you could find
   yourself banned from the game!
 * Some No-CD/Fixed EXE files work fine in Single Player mode but are detected
   to be modified when trying to play online.
 * Always make a backup of the files that are overwritten by the File Archive,
   as the original files are usually required to update the game to a newer

STUDIO ONE MIDI LEARN

S1 has the A/M series keyboards in the device selection, so I added it and daw
control via that menu.

Just tried adding as a new control surface, midi learnt the knobs, same result.
Of course: If this simply is not possible, then it is as it is.Ĭlick to
expand.Thanks for the suggestion. Not knocking S1, just trying to understand.
And then the same in any other DAW.Īgain, with Reaper, Cubase etc. Using Control
Link, I have to manually assign every parameter in every lib - not a funny thing
to do.

With my method, I can simply assign the CCs / parameters to ONE instrument in
the series, and then it will work for all the instruments. Take for example the
Aaron Venture or Sample Modeling libs, which have many preassigned CCs to their
various parameters, as do most libraries.

Furthermore, one does not have to manually assign every fader / parameter to
each and every instrument in every lib. For example I used Reaper for live acts
(but would like to also use the Show feature in S1 for this) but Cubase and
others for production. One of the big advantages of my preferred way of doing
this (not using Control Link but directly „hardwiring“ the faders / knobs to
certain CCs) is that I can use different DAWs without having to reassign
everything separately in every DAW. Lukas: I also see that the way S1 / Control
Link works has many advantages, I am not trying to criticize S1, just to find a
solution
