EMF ALARM

EMF Alarm detects interference from electronic devices at a wide range and
alerts patients and people around them from coming too close. Electromagnetic
field alarm (EMF) for pacemakers and other implants gives sound and light
signals that warn about the dangerous electromagnetic fields in the
surroundings.

WHAT ARE THE RISKS ?

Do you have a pacemaker, implantable cardioverter-defibrillator, cardio
resynchronization therapy, deep brain stimulation, spinal cord stimulation,
implantable infusion pump or similar device?

Implantable electronic devices rely on complex microcircuitry and are
susceptible to interference from the surrounding electromagnetic radiation.

Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) could affect an implantable pulse generator
in one of three ways:

 1. Stopping the pacemaker from delivering the stimulating pulses that regulate
    the heart's rhythm

 2. Causing the pacemaker to deliver pulses irregularly

 3. Causing the pacemaker to ignore the heart's own rhythm and deliver pulses at
    a fixed rate

EMI with pacemakers, implantable cardioverters-defibrillators, deep brain
stimulators can be very complex in terms of the technical aspects and in view of
public health issues.

Implantable pulse generators may be affected by various equipment in our daily
life, ranging from hospital equipment to security devices. Common devices like
cell phones, digital media players (MP3, iPod etc.,), security devices,
anti-theft devices, conduction heaters, microwave ovens may interfere with the
implantable pulse generator. Complete avoidance of these electronics may not be
practical for most of the patients with an implanted device and this may
significantly affect their quality of life.

Do you want to feel safe and be sure

that there is no disruption of your medical implant ?
