Our main walks are held biannually in spring and autumn. Our aim is to take time out to socialize and enjoy the benefits of outdoor, and sometimes indoor, activity. Although an independent group, we support the cause of maintaining access too, conserving and protecting, the mountain and woodland environments. Our name is Blue Moon Ramblers because – like a seldom-occurring Blue Moon – our events seldom pass without incident such as getting lost on motorways, mountains, golf courses, missing flights home and some motoring mishaps due to the special driving technique of our volunteer drivers (Rocky O Gorman, Handbrake Mahon, ) Despite our mishaps, it has to be stated that, thankfully, to date we have an accident free record.
