It’s summer in Michigan, and the sun is warm, but we are already hard at work
preparing for our 40th annual Festival of Trees. Mark your calendars for the
2024 event!

Festival of Trees, an annual benefit for the Children’s Hospital of Michigan
Foundation, is a special event for the community, coordinated through volunteer
efforts and dedicated to funding research into the causes and cures of childhood
diseases. These philanthropic funds have been a crucial source of support for
innovative pediatric research projects at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan
that have advanced the science and practice of pediatric health.

Festival of Trees has evolved into one of the largest fundraising benefits for
the Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation. Proceeds from this benefit
support the Evergreen Endowment Fund held at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan
Foundation. Over the past 40 years, Festival of Trees has funded over $25
million in hospital equipment and pediatric research. It has taken the
dedication of many volunteers, as well as the generosity of many sponsors, to
reach this milestone. This would not have been possible without their support.

The annual event in November draws thousands of visitors, and has become a
holiday tradition for people all over southeast Michigan. We are excited to
announce that 2024 will be our 40th year! The event will once again take place
at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center in Dearborn. The event will run
from November 24th through December 1st, with our Preview Gala being held on
November 23rd.

Providing the trees that make our event possible. English Gardens also raises
money for the Festival through their open house in November, and provide
materials for our gift shop.



Providing the venue for our event for another year. The Performing Arts Center
also provides event staff and items for our auction.



A proud sponsor of Festival of Trees for over 30 years! Palmer Moving also
stores crates during the off season, handles logistics to and from the venue,
and delivers trees after the event.

The Children’s Foundation works collaboratively to improve the health and
well-being of children and their families through fundraising, grant-making, and
advocacy, The Children’s Foundation enables researchers and community
organizations to identify and implement innovations capable of advancing
children’s health and wellness. Their vision is a Michigan where all children
have equitable opportunities to lead healthy lives.
