Renowned for the tranquility of its setting and the beauty of its architecture, the Hospital is one of England’s oldest continuing almshouses. Unfortunately the Old Kitchen area will not be available for Visitors to from 19th February 2024, for 4 weeks, as we are installing a disabled access lift. Access to the Brethren’s Hall will be via the Inner Quad steps during this time. PARKING – We have very limited parking at the Hospital of St Cross. If you are coming to visit, please consider using public transport https://hospitalofstcross.co.uk/contact-us/directions We are only a 20 minute walk or a 5 minute bus ride on the No1 Bluestar bus from the City centre. The bus stops conveniently at the end of our driveway. Our grassland parking areas are unfortunately not available between October and March. LIMITED ACCESS – Please check our ‘What’s On’ page to see if any events are being held onsite, on the day of your visit. It may be there is limited access or closure to some areas of the Hospital and we would hate you to be disappointed.
