I printed a banner, we hung it up and first person there was the winner. Shortly after we started, the cops busted it. Apparently I didn’t register the keg properly (beer after racing, not before) That was the very first Race for the Rail and my first Onewheel related fine too ;) Then it became a sort of side-show at the @gopro mountain games in Vail, CO. We built ramps out of plywood, set up some cones and to our surprise a decent number of folks showed up to watch. We started to think maybe there was something to this racing Onewheels thing. Fast forward 6 years and we’ve created @onewheelracingleague for competitors and spectators from around the globe. The best riders in the world converge on a ski mountain and fly at top speed over massive obstacles to win $10g’s Tomorrow RFTR 2022 will air on @espn. My 12-year-old-self can’t believe it. But we can only go up from here. The progression of the sport and it’s adoption is amazing.
