6-month Contract – high likelihood of extensions in 6 month increments

Overview:  
 
Our retail client is seeking a 100% remote Program Manager to join the team.
This person will oversee end to end deliverables of projects. Contract
opportunity with potential to extend.

Job Summary:

A program manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation,
and successful completion of multiple projects within an organization. You will
be responsbile for managing cross-functional teams, coordinating resources, and
ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to
the defined scope.

Responsibilities: 

1.    Program Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to define program
objectives, scope, and deliverables. Develop a comprehensive program plan,
including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
2.    Team Management: Lead and manage cross-functional teams involved in the
program. Provide guidance, set performance goals, and ensure effective
collaboration and communication among team members.
3.    Resource Management: Identify and allocate necessary resources, including
personnel, budget, and equipment, to support program activities. Monitor
resource utilization and make adjustments as needed.
4.    Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues that may impact the
program's success. Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to
address unforeseen circumstances.
5.    Stakeholder Communication: Establish and maintain effective communication
channels with program stakeholders, including executives, project sponsors, team
members, and external partners. Provide regular updates on program progress,
milestones, and any changes in scope or schedule.
6.    Quality Assurance: Ensure that program deliverables meet the required
quality standards. Implement appropriate quality control measures and perform
periodic reviews or audits to assess performance and compliance.
7.    Budget and Financial Management: Monitor program finances, track expenses,
and manage the program budget. Identify cost-saving opportunities and make
recommendations for optimizing resource allocation.
8.    Evaluation and Reporting: Define program success criteria and establish
key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress and outcomes. Prepare
regular reports and presentations summarizing program status, achievements, and
challenges.

Required Skills:
1.    Strong knowledge and experience in project management methodologies, such
as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches. Proficiency in project planning,
resource allocation, risk management, and quality assurance.
2.    Must have 15-20 years of experience doing program management
3.    Prior experience managing projects that vary in size 
4.    Leadership experience. Must have the ability to lead and motivate
cross-functional teams, set clear goals and expectations, and foster a
collaborative and high-performing work environment. Effective delegation,
conflict resolution, and decision-making skills are crucial.
5.    Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with
various stakeholders, including executives, project sponsors, vendors, team
members, and external partners. The ability to understand their needs, manage
expectations, and ensure effective communication throughout the program
lifecycle.
6.    Knowledge and experience in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks
throughout the program lifecycle. The ability to develop risk management
strategies, contingency plans, and problem-solving approaches. Must be able to
drive projects and identify risk.
