Africa Tours is a Kenyan Registered Destination Management Company (DMC)
operating in the greater region of East Africa. The company is an extension of
Africa Tours Denmark based in Copenhagen and has ground operational offices in
Nairobi Kenya. It is run by a team of professional Safari Experts each with not
less than 15 years’ experience.

Our main source of visitors is Denmark but also receiving numbers from other

KAREN BLIXEN CAMP -MARA NORTH CONSERVANCY, MASAI MARA

Karen Blixen Camp is set on the bank of the Mara River with the impressive Oloo
lolo Escarpment in the front and the Mara plains behind; the location is
spectacular; throughout the day elephants, giraffes, zebras and impalas come for
a drink while a large hippo pod rest lazily in the river. The Camp situated in
the beautiful Mara North Conservancy that forms the vital northwestern zone of
the Masai Mara Ecosystem. The conservancy borders the Masai Mara National
Reserve in the south of Kenya and is part of the Mara-Serengeti Ecosystem.

What better way to start your East African safari than at Karen Blixen Coffee
Garden & Cottages in Nairobi?

A luxury boutique hotel, situated on a historic site in the leafy suburb of
Karen, Nairobi. It is the perfect venue to start or finish your African Safari.
The reception at the Karen Blixen Coffee Garden and Cottages is the Historic
Swedo House which was the original hunting lodge/farmhouse, built between 1906
and 1908. It is located approximately half a mile from the Karen Blixen Museum
(Bogani House from the film “Out of Africa”).

Karen Blixen Coffee Garden & Cottages is located in the former coffee farm
belonging to the famous Out of Africa Blixen family. It sits on 5 acres of land
with large hundred-year-old trees, beautiful gardens and pool, and hundreds of
different varieties of blooming flowers, and a large population of birds. It is
a short walk from the Karen Blixen Museum and easy access to the popular David
Sheldrick Elephant and Rhino Orphanage, Giraffe Centre and Nairobi National Park
where you can spot big game while on game drives, the city skyline in the
background.

Located in a quiet neighborhood of Nairobi, it is also close to Wilson Airport,
which is used for all safari flights in Kenya. With the new Southern Bypass from
Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, the transfer time to/from Karen Blixen
Coffee Garden & Cottages is an easy 30 minutes.
