YUKON DENALI REFRESH ULTIMATE SPIED

2024 GMC Yukon The all-new fifth-generation GMC Yukon opened the lid for the
2021 model year, but General Motors is already preparing a model refresh that
will debut with the 2024 model year. Late last month, GM Authority gave you test
coverage of the updated 2024 GMC Yukon in prototype form, but now, we have a new
image of the 2024 GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate.

For readers who may not be aware of it, the Denali Ultimate trim level was first
introduced with the fully refreshed 2022 GMC Sierra 1500, arriving as the new
top-range trim in the GMC Sierra lineup. Now it appears General Motors is
developing a similar top-range option for the 2024 GMC Yukon refresh as well.



The big prize here is the big wheels, which have a multi-spoke design and
polished finish. The large rollers look similar to the wheels seen previously on
the prototype for the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500, the prototype that led to the new
Sierra 1500 Denali Ultimate.

For that matter, it’s a safe bet to assume that the chrome fascia under all that
camouflage will incorporate the same dark, Vader treatment that characterizes
the new Sierra 1500 Denali Ultimate, which is clearly a stark contrast to the
polished bright chrome. Denali “standard”.

It is also worth mentioning that this 2024 GMC Yukon prototype introduces a new
camouflage strategy. Unlike previous photos which showed the 2024 GMC Yukon
prototype in very heavy camouflage, this particular prototype incorporates a
more targeted cover to disguise the front fascia, including special bits to hide

As for what to expect from the 2024 GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate, the Vader front
end and large alloy wheels will likely complement the body-colored bumper for
the exterior, while inside, plenty of luxury features will be found around every
corner, such as full-grain leather upholstery, open-porous wood trim. , and
premium audio equipment. Also expected is the inclusion of a GM Super Cruise
semi-autonomous drive system, although the 2024 GMC Yukon could introduce a more
advanced GM Ultra Cruise system as well.

Lastly, we should mention that the refresh for the current fifth-generation 2024
GMC Yukon will mark a significant change in strategy from the previous K2-based
model, as the latter did not receive a refresh during its lifecycle.


2024 GMC YUKON REFRESH

General Motors unveiled the fifth-generation GMC Yukon for the 2021 model year,
embarking on a complete model overhaul that redesigns every aspect of the SUV’s
nameplate. Now, General Motors is working on the 2024 GMC Yukon, which is set to
usher in a model refresh, and GM Authority has the first photos to capture the
public testing of the 2024 GMC Yukon prototype.





This particular 2024 GMC Yukon prototype is a standard length regular wheelbase
body style, as opposed to the extended GMC Yukon XL. The prototype is covered in
thick camouflage front and rear, suggesting that the 2024 model will introduce
stylistic revisions to the front and rear fascia.

This particular model is also likely an SLE trim, as it is seen rolling on a set
of 18-inch 6-spoke aluminum alloy wheels with Dark Gray Metallic accents, which
are equipped as standard on the SLE.

However, beyond the exterior styling, the big news for the updated 2024 GMC
Yukon is the possibility of introducing a new autonomous driving feature,
possibly the GM Ultra Cruise system. For those who may have missed it last year,
GM Authority captured a GMC Yukon outfitted with various sensors and another
stuff testing around GM’s Milford Proving Grounds in Michigan, indicating that
the SUV is part of GM’s development for the next-generation semi. autonomous
driving system.

As an evolution of the current GM Super Cruise system, Ultra Cruise expands
hands-free driving to include 95 percent of driving scenarios, enabling a
“door-to-door hands-free driving experience.”

For now, the 2021 GMC Yukon doesn’t currently offer a Super Cruise, at least not
yet. The 2024 GMC Yukon could introduce a Super Cruise or Ultra Cruise to the
nameplate, and the prototype seen here includes an opening in the camo for a
potential driving-assist sensor.



It’s also worth noting that the refresh for the current fifth-generation 2024
GMC Yukon will mark a significant departure in strategy from previous K2-based
models, the latter of which did not receive a refresh during their lifecycle,
having launched for the 2015 model year and being produced through the 2020
model year.

As for the fifth generation, sales of the GMC Yukon have reached their peak.
Yukon Regular sales in 2021 reached 51,365 units, up 25.39 percent from 40,965
units sold in 2020. Meanwhile, Yukon XL sales last year were 32,877 units, an
increase of 46.28 percent compared to 22,475 units sold in 2020. Total Yukon
sales reached 84,242 units, up 32.79 percent compared to 2020 sales of 63,440
units.

2024 GMC YUKON NEWS

General Motors will be refreshing its fifth-generation GMC Yukon for the 2024
model year. The first test prototype is already starting to attract the
attention of spy photographers.
The GMC Yukon 2024 will have revised front and rear fascias seen from the
heavily camouflaged front and rear in photos available from GM Authority.
Vehicle platforms may undergo major changes as well.

The GM Super Cruise or Ultra Cruise system is one of the expected innovations.
The current model has come without the Super Cruise so far. The state-of-the-art
Ultra Cruise system includes multiple door-to-door hands-free driving scenarios.

The current generation GMC Yukon exhibits dynamic sales growth. In 2021, its
sales in the US will increase by a quarter of 2020. The starting price for the
2022 model (MSRP) is $52,100 before destination fees, other fees, taxes, and
options.

This SUV offers seating for up to nine passengers and; towing capacity of up to
8,400 pounds with Max Trailering Pack; fuel efficiency is 21 mpg (city) and 27
mpg (highway). The cargo volume behind the 3rd row is 25.5 cubic feet.

Engine options include a 5.3L V8 producing 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque, a
Duramax 3.0L turbo-diesel with 277 hp and 460 lb.-ft. torque. The transmission
is a 10-speed automatic.


GMC YUKON DENALI ULTIMATE

Not long ago, GMC fans squealed with joy when a spy photo caught a glimpse of
the 2024 GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate prototype. Today, there is news that the
future Yukon Denali Ultimate trim will replace the Yukon Denali Ultimate Pack.





The Yukon Denali Ultimate trim will hit enthusiasts in time for the 2022
(temporary) model year. However, there is some reluctance with the release date.
The flaws and delays have fans speculating that the Denali Ultimate trim will
find its way into the 2023 model year. However, GM hasn’t confirmed this news
yet, so we’re very excited about the new Yukon Denali Ultimate.

The Denali Ultimate is the new trim for the Yukon, and the package is familiar
to the GM family. The Denali Ultimate trim appeared on the 2022 GMC Sierra 15000
which was enhanced initially. However, like the Sierra pickup, the Yukon Denali
Ultimate will ditch the chrome exterior for a new dark gray trim, also known as
Vader Chrome.

Vader chrome accents will decorate the front grille, front logo, rear logo, and
trim surrounding the foglights. Additionally, the front fender badge that
includes the Mount Denali topography graphic, lower door trim, rear, liftgate
applique, and lower bumper trim will receive Vader Chrome trim.

The new Yukon Denali Ultimate trim also features distinctive alloy wheels.
However, the surrounding windows or daylight openings will remain chrome. In
addition, the Yukon Denali Ultimate will also experience some premium interior
changes. For example, the interior will welcome full-grain leather upholstery,
open-porous wood trim, and the Mount Denali topographic map pattern that wraps
around the cabin.

Accessories for the new and plentiful Denali Ultimate trim. For example, there
are power-retractable assist steps, and for all the awkward ones out there, the
steps include perimeter lighting. Additional accessories include a panoramic
sunroof and several optional packages for standard or basic Denali. Check back
