Kash Patel, a staunch defender of Donald Trump, is the president-elect’s pick to
lead the Federal Bureau of Investigation, he said Saturday night.

FBI Director Christopher A. Wray would have to step down in the middle of his
10-year term, or Trump would have to fire him, for Patel to be nominated. If
nominated, he would be subject to Senate confirmation.
