enter the internal discovery FQDN. We're using on premise Skype for Business
Servers When going to 'advanced' options and entering the internal server

settings. Auto-discovery does not work by design, so this is something we'll
need if we're going to roll out Skype for Business. Any help with users facing a

First, trying to put 'don't allow my Skype for Business client (Skype
Entreprise) to connect. When I enter 'autodiscover/autodiscoverservice.svc/root'
as internal / external address, then I can try the connection (otherwise,
clicking on the button don't do anything). The connection don't work, I'm stuck
with the blue circle rotating endlessly. What should I do? On the other hand, I
can connect correctly with the same parameters with Microsoft Lync 2011 for Mac.
So I guess my settings are right.

Hi Thib, I'd like to clarify that Skype for Business client for Mac is built on
the Unified Communications Mobile Platform, it shares the same stack as iOS and
Android mobile applications and communicates with the server via UCWA (Unified
Communication Web API) which is different from Lync for Mac client. So, you are
not able to sign in to Skype for Business for Mac with the same parameters with
Lync for Mac. Please use the parameters which you are using to sign in to mobile
client.

Thanks, Franky. Hi Franky, No have no issue in saving the correct autodiscover
url in manual configuration. Using the manual configuration with the url format
for mobility however in my opinion based on Microsoft's blurb will not work if
you have the latest Nov 2016 Cumulative Update - with this update is it the case
the Mac client will be treated as a desktop client hence in my case (Nov 2016 CU
installed) mobility is not a requirement, I have tried using the correct
mobility url but it will not sign-in, however if mobility is not required then
the automatic discovery (autodiscover checked) should work (which will look at
the local pool fqdn on port 5061). For those that don't have the latest CU
installed then the manual mobility URL should work - folks may need to install
the skype for business web services cert locally and the root chain cert though
for this to work if off the domain. In my case the Mac is not on the domain,
thus I am going to install the certs locally on the Mac later when I get into
work.

TWO FACTOR AUTHENTICATION OFFICE 365 OUTLOOK 2016 FOR MAC

I have a security problem that I can't seem to find the answer to, and I'm
hoping someone here who knows EWS better than I do can point me in the right
direction. We have a policy of only allowing access to files and email
externally via methods that support 2FA/MFA. We use Azure MFA with ADFS and WAP
to protect our Remote Desktop, SharePoint and OWA external access. For EAS we've
been using device quarantining and we're now looking at moving that to
Conditional Access via Intune. For all of these access methods, Microsoft have
good solutions for integrating MFA. We're looking at moving our mail from
on-prem Exchange to Exchange Online in the near future, and all of the above
methods work well for Exchange Online as well. No hassles there.

Multi-Factor Authentication for Office 365. Office 365 administrators enroll
users for multi-factor authentication through the Office 365 admin center. On
the users and groups page in the Office 365 admin center, you can enroll users
for multi-factor authentication by clicking the Set Multi-factor authentication
requirements: Set up link. A user was griping about support for Multi Factor
authentication (MFA) in Outlook Home version: Multi Factor auth is enabled on my
Office 365 account. I don't have problems using Outlook and MFA at work (with an
Office 365 Enterprise license) but at home I need to use an app password in
Outlook 2016 from my Home Premium subscription.

EWS is a problem for me. I'd always vaguely thought of EWS as a way for desk
phones to display calendar details or look up contacts, that sort of thing, but
of course EWS can be used to access email too. Most of the various Mac mail
clients that support Exchange use EWS. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find a way
of making EWS and MFA play nicely. None of the clients that connect using EWS
can handle MFA. Right now I block EWS at the WAP reverse proxy, so it's only
available to internal clients, and that complies with our security policy.

That approach has two problems: a) offsite clients that use EWS for calendar
lookups (e.g. Lync 2013 mobile client on company-owned iPhones) are semi-broken
without EWS, and b) as I understand it, I won't be able to do this with Exchange
Online. EWS will become available from everywhere. Staff will be able to use EWS
clients to download their entire mailbox with only username and password. Going
forward on Exchange Online, I can see only two options: 1) Disable EWS across
the board, breaking all sorts of things.

Lync/Skype4B stops working properly, UM voicemail breaks, Lync desk phones
become semi-functional, and I don't know what else breaks, but I'm sure plenty
of other stuff will. 2) Use an EWS Allow List to whitelist certain client types
that don't download email (e.g.

Lync iPhone client), while blocking things known to download email. The problem
with the second approach is that it's just matching a string that the client
sends. It wouldn't be hard at all to download the EWS API bits from MSDN and
build a client that spoofed the known client header of the Lync iPhone client.

I don't think I can really argue that this meets our requirement for MFA on
email access. What I really need is something like Conditional Access blocking
unknown clients from connecting to EWS as well as EAS.

Or, better yet, the ability to toggle in an organizational config policy which
types of content can be accessed over EWS. If I could say Calendar and Contacts
objects are allowed, but Email objects are blocked via EWS everywhere, then I
could happily allow EWS without MFA. Does anyone have any suggestions for me
on properly securing EWS? We're running Exchange 2013 CU10 at the moment, but
have SA on our Exchange licenses and CALs and I'd be happy to upgrade to 2016 if
that gave me a feature that helped with this problem. Hi Ryan, Thank you for the

Exchange Web Services(EWS), exposes a way to access emails hence you want to use
Multi-Factor Authetication (MFA) to secure it. OWA,OutlookAnywhere,ActiveSync
works fine with MFA, but EWS doesn't.

Hence you can't have EWS at the open internet. Your concern is once you move to
Exchange Online, you can no longer use Mac Clients, due to your company's
security policy to block un-secured EWS. If I understood correctly, the question
arises, how to make 'EWS and MFA play nicely', as per your compnay standards?

Another option which may work for you is to use the IMAP protocol as an
intermediary. You do not have to use your original mail account for that, a free
GMail account will do just fine. Start Outlook 2011, connect to the email
account using IMAP and drag the messages onto the server (the IMAP 'branch' of
the folders). You can use both messages (inbox, sent items) and entire folders
(ones you have created). When all messages have been uploaded, connect to the

Change View. The Compact view is the default view that every folder uses, but
you can change to either of the other two: • Single: This removes the By Date
grouping and shows all your messages in a simple list.

clicking View > View Settings. This opens the Advanced View Settings window,

So you're just doing two steps during the encoding (fix SBE and encode) rather
than doing two steps during the tracking (tracking and splitting on sector
boundaries). In other words, since you're going to be encoding anyway, just use
the fix SBE tab instead of the encode tab.

Actually, with Amadeus you can set markers, split into tracks according to
markers, and save the split files as flac all in one step -- so running your
files through xAct would add a step. I think you can even set up your FLAC tags
for your songs using Amadeus as well.

Good to know that about xAct, but I'm trying to see what steps I need to have in
my Mac workflow. I just registered my free Amadeus demo version and was using it
last night. Nice program for the money, can do pretty much everything I think,
though I think I might want to stay with Wave Editor Izotope MBit+ dither.

OUTLOOK FOR MAC 2007 JUNK EMAIL FILTER NOT WORKING

My Outlook 2003 junk e-mail filter is suddenly not working. All the junk e-mail
that would normally go to the Junk E-Mail folder is now just dropping into my
Inbox.

I mean all the junk e-mail. It's catching nothing.

The junk mail filter just refused to work. This worked for me but may not for
others. With Outlook closed, right click on the icon, choose properties.

I have it set on Low and it always let some stuff slip through, but now it is
just not working at all. I changed it to High and exited Outlook, re-opened
Outlook and set it back to Low, exited Outlook and re-opened it and still I get
the same behavior. Never seen this one before. Any help would be appreciated.
