The tropical islands off the coast of Terengganu are Malaysia’s underwater gems—known for their pristine beaches, underwater seascapes, and thriving marine life. Our mission is to make Terengganu and Malaysia a hub for underwater art and tourism in Southeast Asia; and to showcase its beauty in new and exciting ways. The Aquaseni Underwater Gallery is an exhibition venue for underwater photographs. Our inaugural exhibition will feature underwater images taken in the beautiful waters of Terengganu—and displayed in those very waters. We showcase talented local and international photographers who have been inspired by Terengganu’s marine life, and we hope to inspire others to consider underwater photography as a new form of artistic expression. As a gallery that celebrates love for ocean through art, we plan to host more international underwater photography exhibitions soon. FOUNDER & CURATOR Chong Tze Seng (Founder - From Right), director of Summer Bay Lang Tengah Resort, has always been inspired by the natural beauty of Terengganu’s islands. His passion for scuba diving and his admiration for the unique perspectives of underwater photography is why he wants to create a space to celebrate them both. Eric Goh (Co-founder & gallery curator - From Left) is a Malaysian professional photographer. He has been judging international underwater photo competitions and his underwater images grace numerous international magazines. He even has a personal themed hotel room in the heart of Kuala Lumpur city center, capital of Malaysia. His work has been commissioned by major tourism campaigns and featured prominently on national billboards. LOCATION OF GALLERY The gallery itself is only a few meters off the Summer Bay Lang Tengah Resort jetty, and set at the shallow depth of 8-10 meters. It is easily accessed by beginner scuba divers and free divers, and promises to be a unique, exciting, one-of-a-kind dive experience.
