FAQ - I HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT MY CLEVERCARD

What is a CleverCard?
A CleverCard is a digital prepaid Mastercard that can be used online to pay
Energy bills to any UK Energy provider instantly. It's the same as using any
Debit or Credit Card, except it's digital.
How can I use the CleverCard and where can I spend it?
Firstly, you must activate the CleverCard by clicking ‘Activate My Card’ and
follow the instructions. Once this is done you can use it to pay your Gas and/or
Electric Bills only with UK Energy providers who accept Mastercard. You can use
the CleverCard to pay your UK Energy Provider directly.
How long is the CleverCard valid for, and when will it expire?
The card has an expiry date on the front of the CleverCard, like any other
Mastercard. If the card is activated, then it will expire within 6 months of
activation. If the card is not activated, it will expire within 3 months after
delivery. Once the CleverCard has expired it cannot be used or reactivated.
Why have I received multiple CleverCards, rather than one with the total value?
Currently we can only offer CleverCards at a set value of either £30.00, £50.00
or £100.00.
How can the CleverCard be used online?
It's a digital prepaid Mastercard so you just need to use the 16-digit Card
number, Expiry Date and CVV/CVC code. It works the same way as any Debit or
Credit card online transaction.
