 1. How To Podcast Using WordPress
 2. A podcast is the next level from blogging. While blogging is performed by
an army of pajama-clad individuals, podcasting is carried out by the same
individuals, but less often in pajamas using a digital or audio recorder.
The podcasts are recorded in short chunks, then released via RSS 2.0 or
Atom to their website, typically a blog site. Viewers and listeners can
download podcasts by using podcast clients. A good podcast client (for
instance, Juice, CastPodder, or iTunes) will allow you to join the RSS/Atom
feeds of your preferred podcasters and automatically download the content
to your computer or a portable audio player whenever new content becomes
     available.
 3. The majority of podcasters make their content in MP3 or MP4 audio or video
files and upload themto the internet, linking to the file in the blog post.
Users click on the link to download their content if they're not
automatically subscribed to the RSS or Atom feed. The challenge has never
been in getting the content to the web page however the issue is getting
the content to work through feed systems. WordPress generally will
automatically incorporate new data from podcasts into your RSS/Atom feed
system. This makes it easy for you to deliver content and for users to
     subscribe to that content.

 5. For most people, WordPress 1.5 and above can podcast conveniently and
instantly. When you hyperlink to the audio file in your WordPress blog post
by using the complete URL address, it adds it to the feed RSS/Atom and
makes it possible to use it as podcast. podcast. Be sure to use a full
     address:

 9.
 10. Right: My podcast

 12. The last step is to place the URL to your RSS/Atom feeds on your page. The
feeds are listed at the bottom the WordPress page. The feeds link should
look like this if you're using RSS:
 13.
 14. In the earlier versions of WordPress, automated links work exclusively for
posts and not in static websites. Because WordPress must keep exact
information on file size in case you modify an uploaded file, you should
ensure that you republish the blog post that contains the link. If you've
linked to files that has any reason to not be fully accessible via your
blog or podcast , your podcast will not function correctly when it's
published because WordPress doesn't have the right information about the
     size of the file.

 16.
 17. For Apache servers, as well as others which utilize for the .htaccess
fileformat, you'll need to add a directive the config files or .htaccess
file to allow your server's ability to identify podcast files (m4a and m4b)
properly. It's as easy as adding this line to the file you're using:
