NO ANTIBIOTICS EVER (NAE)

No Antibiotics Ever (NAE) means that our hogs were never given antibiotics,
EVER!  The use of antibiotics in the everyday production of Hogs is a common
practice in the U.S.  Antibiotics are given to animals in their feed to help
them gain weight faster and as a preventative measure to keep them from getting
sick in very tight indoor pens.


KETO AND PALEO

Mulay’s entire product line adheres to the Paleo Foundation’s highest quality
standards.  We have never added sugar to any of our products! There has never
been nitrates, preservatives, grains, legumes, or fillers added to any of our
products.  Why?  Because that is the way our family has been making sausage and
meatballs for generations.


MULAY’S IS A 3RD PARTY CERTIFIED WOMAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS.

Woman owned and family run, Loree Mulay Weisman heads up the team as President
and CEO. Ward Weisman is the Vice President and CFO while daughters Lena and
Lyza work for Mulay’s in social media marketing and coupon redemption
departments.  They also lend their services as taste masters in product
development division!  Our service dog Jewel is emotional support for the whole
family!


HERITAGE BREEDS

Most people are familiar with great tasting heirloom tomatoes. Heirloom
varieties mean that the seeds have never been engineered for longer shelf life,
hardiness, color, etc. The same holds true for heirloom or “heritage” breeds of
livestock. Heritage bred animals are the ones you would find on your great
grandparents’ farm!


SMALL FAMILY FARMS

At Mulay’s, we source our pork from small family farms that have been raising
hogs for generations.  We negotiate a set price for every pound of pork we buy,
guaranteeing our farmers a living wage.  Not based on unstable market pricing,
this “cost production system” relies on consumers like you who understand the
importance of sustainable farming and are willing to pay a little more for it.
 The guaranteed price a farmer gets for every pound sold ensures the health of
the animal, the farmer and their families, the communities they live in, and the
sustainability of the environment.  We are so proud that these farmers  share
our values when it comes to sustainable raising practices, humane treatment and
a commitment to compassionate, farming practices.  The best part is they
actually make money doing it this way!  We are grateful for all their hard work
and proud to use their pork in our products.
