OCTO'S PROFILE



Octo was founded in 1982 by six plumbing wholesalers in the province of Quebec.

In 2002, the name changed to Octo Purchasing Group to better reflect the changes
within the group.

Today’s membership stands at 70 members with more than 900 outlets located
across Canada participating in various market segments. The key to Octo’s
success has been through diversification into additional market segments:

Plumbing | Refrigeration (HVAC/R) | Industrial (PVF) | Waterworks | Pump

Fire Protection | Retail | Hardware | Industrial Safety | Paint

The participating supplier base is in excess of 400 and continues to grow.

Since founding, the membership sales have continued to grow and are now in
excess of $4 billion dollars. 

The collective experience of the Octo Purchasing Group has positioned it well in
an ever-changing market.

Octo is represented by an elected board of directors. Its representation is both
geographical and by market segment in order to address all issues and concerns.
