PATTERNS & COLORFUL EYE-CATCHING TILES. WE ALSO DO PROVIDE TILES OF CUSTOMERS

"OUR TILE, UR STYLE"

These tiles are not ceramic. Cement, baby jelly and sand with synthetic oxides
make up the composition.
We are cast from the locally available clay that is burnt and then glazed. And
our tiles have a play of base colours with conventional flora and line-drawing
designs that set them apart from the modern versions in the market.



Chettinad is rich in cultural heritage, art and architecture and is well known
for its houses, embellished with marble and Burma teak, wide courtyards,
spacious rooms and for its 18th century mansions. Local legend has it that their
walls used to be polished with a paste made out of egg whites to give a smooth
texture.

Another ‘Chettinad specific’ craft -
‘Poo Kallu’- floor tiles, produced

manually in Athangudi.

 

This art is 3 generations old, around 120 to 150 years old. This tiles need no
special machines and not even baking, as the ingredient used is not clay, but
sand and cement. Just bare hands, a clean glass, and a mould are enough. Certain
designs didn't even need the mould.


  DESIGN NAME : CHOKKATTAN ACT 063G

   LAID ON 2016 @ BENGALURU

This design is called Chokkattan design. This is one of the vintage style.

This will Make the place more authentic. And we have more random colors in our
collections.

This is one of the classic pattern.

This design is called Diamond design with Minnalkodi border. This is one of the
old pattern.
