WHAT’S NEW?

8 Apr 2011 – TabSubmit and minor Firefox-related updates

TabSumbit—a restartless rewrite of the old SubmitToTab Firefox extension—allows
users to submit forms to new tabs and windows by extending middle-click
functionality to form buttons.

The final lingering issues caused by changes to the drag-and-drop event model in
Firefox 4 have finally been resolved in QuickDrag version 2.1.3, which was
released last week and received AMO approval today. Additionally, NoRedirect
version 1.3.2 was also released last week with some localization updates.

25 Mar 2011 – Updates: QuickDrag 2.1.2, URL Flipper 3.1.1, and NoRedirect 1.3.1

QuickDrag version 2.1.2 has been released, with some bug fixes and the new
ability to place drag-to-search text on the clipboard by holding down the Ctrl
key.

URL Flipper version 3.1.1 has been released, with support for the latest
versions of Firefox and SeaMonkey, new translations, and minor improvements in
the zero-padding/stripping feature.

NoRedirect version 1.3.1 has been released, with support for the new "Firefox
Button" and the addition of support for users of Simplified Chinese.

InlineDisposition is a new Firefox extension that prevents websites from forcing
the browser to save or externally open content.

There will be updates to HashCheck and the modified Notepad2 builds in the near
future.

6 Mar 2011 – Updates: QuickDrag 2.1.0, NoRedirect 1.3.0, and ContextConsole
2.1.0

QuickDrag version 2.1.0 has been released, with support for the latest versions
of Firefox and SeaMonkey and 8 new translations.

NoRedirect version 1.3.0 has been released, with support for the latest versions
of Firefox and SeaMonkey, support for the Swedish locale, a new feature
(disabled by default) that adds redirects that were not interdicted to the
session history, and various minor bug fixes.

ContextConsole Shell Extension version 2.1.0, formerly known as the "Open
Command Prompt Shell Extension", has been released with support for a number of
new locales and the %ComSpec% environment variable.

Three new command-line utilities are now available: elevate, timeclone, and
vcopy.

There will be updates to URL Flipper, HashCheck, and the modified Notepad2
builds in the near future. Finally, ClassicFox has been officially retired.

11 Jul 2009 – Modified build of Notepad2, version 4.0.22-beta3

A new version of my modified Notepad2 build has been released, based on version
4.0.22-beta3; this version further refines the code folding control interface.

6 Jul 2009 – Modified build of Notepad2, version 4.0.22-beta2

A new version of my modified Notepad2 build has been released, based on version
4.0.22-beta2; this version features revamped support for NFO ASCII art.

ACTIVE PROJECTS

ContextConsole Shell Extension

The ContextConsole Shell Extension adds an "Open Command Prompt" menu item to
the context menus (right-click menus) in Windows Explorer so that you can open a
command prompt in the selected directory (or directories) or in the current
directory that you are viewing.

The ContextConsole Shell Extension is very lightweight, supports network paths,
is available in multiple languages, and is open-source.

HashCheck Shell Extension

The HashCheck Shell Extension makes it easy for anyone to calculate and verify
checksums and hashes from Windows Explorer. In addition to integrating file
checksumming functionality into Windows, HashCheck can also create and verify
SFV files (and other forms of checksum files, such as .md5 files).

It is fast and efficient, with a very light disk and memory footprint, and it is
open-source.

NoRedirect

NoRedirect is a Firefox/SeaMonkey extension that lets the user take control of
HTTP redirects. It can be used to interdict an ISP's DNS search redirection
hijacks, preview/screen "shortened" URLs, stop the annoying redirection of
"smart" error pages, etc.

Flexible and customizable, NoRedirect puts an end to the usability nuisances of
redirects, such as the inability to correct mistakes in the address bar, without
affecting legitimate, useful redirects.

QuickDrag

QuickDrag is a Firefox/SeaMonkey extension that extends the function of the
drag-and-drop mouse gesture so that it can be used to load URLs, do a web search
of selected text on a page, or save an image on a page—all with a simple
drag-and-drop.

or decrement a portion of a URL without having to manually edit the text in the
Location Bar.
