ABOUT ME



HI
My name is Thomas van Noppen. A twenty-six year old Dutchman with many ideas,
dreams and goals.

In recent years I have developed into a multidisciplinary designer and
multimedia specialist. From a young age, i have been drawing, designing and
creating. It was always my goal to do something with this passion.

Right now i bring ideas into reality through my love for visual and experience
design on multiple fronts.

EDUCATION

I started my education in graphic and media design at ‘’ Grafisch Lyceum
Rotterdam’’. There, I learned to create visual communications to convey messages
in an effective and aesthetically pleasing manner. I focused on tasks and
responsibilities such as : Designing web pages, brochures, logos, signs, books,
magazine covers, annual reports, advertisements, and other communication
materials.

After finishing this study I went to the Rotterdam University of Applied
Sciences.

I studied designing meaningful interactive products and services for people and
companies. I learned to do extensive research into user needs and the
environment in which your interaction design is used. What I love is the focus
on UX and UI design and to work for and with the user for whom I was designing
for.

I learned to look critically at my work, actions, prototypes, testing, failing,
redesigning, adjusting, etc. The study has a heavy focus on teamwork and taught
me what it means to be useful in a team. Clear communication, focus on
empathetic ability, being helpful, being able to adjust and listening to
different points of view. This knowledge makes me a better team player.


WORK EXPERIENCE

I started working at Buro Vink, where I learned to work with internal company
structures and how to communicate and design different products for the real
market. I experienced the entire process from start to finish and saw how ideas
turn from concepts into reality.

2019  I started working at creative studio Apollo 11 in Amsterdam. Here I
experienced the international communication process first hand. I had the
privilege to work with many creative people and got to expand my abilities when
it comes to communication, design and personal responsibility.

In 2020 I  worked at Graficelly, a marketing and media agency. I got to work
with  professionals, each with his or her own talent: copywriters, designers,
marketers and editors. Every day I learned something new, and tried to improve
my work and communication and planning according to the feedback I get. I am
positive I will learn more every day and looking forward to what i yet to come!

After I finished high school in 2012, I started my education in graphic and

an interactive installation with a sensor or a full experience in, for example a
store. I learned to do extensive research into user needs and the environment in

In 2015, I started working at Buro Vink. This was the first place where I
