SPRINGFIELD 911 9MM REVIEW

Prior to this, revolvers were the predominant police sidearm. law enforcement
firearms market on its head. The sights are definitely low-profile, but are
plenty visible.When Glock handguns hit the market in the 1980s, they set the
U.S. It's more than accurate enough for use as a CCW pistol, though - as with
any subcompact or micro pistols - don't expect a 1-in group at 50 yards. Recoil
is a tad snappy, as it's a very lightweight 9mm pistol. Not as big as I'd like
(I prefer a 1911 thumb safety with a bit of substance for positive engagement,
but that's just me) but more usable than plenty of other thumb safety switches I
could mention. The manual safety is ambidextrous and is just large enough to be
usable. It's about equal to that on the Kimber Micro, but a bit more than that
of the beavertail of the Sig P938. The beavertail is just long enough to let you
get a good grip without having to worry about hammer or slide bite, a known
drawback of micro guns.

The G10s are slimmer, to be sure I don't dislike G10 grips but I preferred the
rubber grips on THIS gun. For me, I found they let me get a good tight grip on
the pistol. They fill the hand a little better, though some may not care for the
finger grooves. Personally, I also preferred the model with the Hogue grips.
However, there's just enough with the extended mag that most people won't have
an issue there. At around 4.5 inches with the extended magazine, there isn't
much real estate on the grip unlike your garden variety Officer frame. This is
just my preference, the dude writing this, but I like as much of a firing grip
as I can get. I found the extended grip to be better for me. Overall, it's a
good little pistol that has a lot to offer the person that's interested. We got
to shoot the Springfield 911 9mm at SHOT Show, so we will include both the
shooting aspect and otherwise in this Springfield 911 9mm review. Granted,
Kimber's bottom dollar is right on the 911's heels and Sig Sauer isn't too far
behind, so unless the in-store prices are lower because "Springfield" is on the
slide rather than "Kimber" or "Sig Sauer" - and that is totally possible - this
gun has some stiff competition. MSRP starts at $639 for the basic black model,
$659 for the models with G10 grips and $849 for the laser-equipped models. There
are also two models with Viridian laser grips, one with a black slide and one
with stainless. Grips are either G10 or Hogue wraparound rubber grips, and the
grip has checkering for a bit of traction. You have your choice of black nitride
finish or stainless steel for the slide. The sights are basically micro combat
sights, and are dovetailed into the slide.Īll models feature a chevron slide cut
and a black anodized aluminum frame. Sights are Pro-Glo tritium/luminescent on
the front and white-outlined tritium night sight dots on the rear. It's a lot
smaller than most 9mm 1911 pistols Unloaded weight is 15.3 ounces, and the
pistol holds 6+1 rounds of 9mm with the flush-fit magazine or 7+1 with the
extended magazine. The pistol is 3.9 inches tall (with flush-fit magazine) by
5.9 inches in length by 1.1 inches wide at the controls. The barrel is 3 inches
long, with a black nitride coating or in stainless steel depending on the model
you choose, and a 1-in-16 twist rate.

Now for the tale of the tape, with the Springfield 911 9mm specifications. We
understand the format small single-action pistol, but without the grip safety
that a compact 1911 like an Officer frame would have, just like the Sig P938 or
Kimber Micro 9. So, the Springfield 911 is just basically Springfield's version
of that. 380 1911 of their own (the Sig P238) decided to follow suit and
released the Sig Sauer P938, which also happens to be a quite popular gun with
our customers judging by holster sales.

Beef up the frame a bit, get a bigger barrel and presto! And it was a success,

so much for that.Īnyhow, Kimber had the bright idea a few years ago to make a

with tenacity. It is both a positive emotional experience and a functioning
state. Others can talk to us and support us, but it is our drive that will
propel us ahead. Life throws numerous hurdles in one's way that are difficult to
overcome if one lacks commitment. It's difficult to achieve goals if you don't
put in the effort. One of the most crucial components of success is
determination. Such a positive attitude aids in the development of
self-confidence, which is required to accomplish something with a strong will.
"I can make this happen," "I can accomplish it," and "I can win," one should
tell oneself to be resolute. It is a good emotional experience as well as a
functional condition. Others can encourage us by speaking, but it is our
determination that will keep us moving forward. Without resolve, life throws
many obstacles in one's path that are tough to overcome. Without dedication,
achieving goals is tough. Determination is one of the most important aspects of
achieving success.

A quitter, on the other hand, spends most of his life regretting his lack of
passion and devotion. Because winners are determined in life, success only comes
knocking on their doors. They are our role models, teaching us that it is better
to never give up. That is why only the winners live long in the memory. It is
simple to give up in the middle of a project, but it is more difficult to
persevere in the face of obstacles. They worked hard to achieve their objectives
and only took a break after they were successful.

Scientists like Issac Newton and Albert Einstein, for example, never gave up on
their ambitions and passions when some of their experiments failed. Despite the
challenges he experienced at first, he never gave up hope. He was so devoted to

whether it was in a sports team, academics, job, or even relationships. We've

BRAIN FOG REMEDIES

To avoid interruptions, teach family members to wait by saying things like, "I'm
right now, but I'll help you as soon as I'm done. The solution: instead of
multi-tasking, do only one thing at a time.

Many patients experience fog when they try to do more than one thing at a time,
such as reading while watching TV or talking while fixing dinner. For example,
keep your medicines where you dress, so you will see them and remember to take
them when getting up in the morning and getting ready for bed at night.ĭo One
Thing at a Time (Avoid Multi-Tasking) Organize your house and possessions so
that they give you built-in reminders. Use a calendar or the alarm on your
watch, computer or smartphone to keep track of appointments and tell you when to
do things (or to set limits and remind you to stop). Use Post-It notes in
prominent places to jog your memory. Write out your tasks for the day on a To Do
list. As another person said, "If I'm pretty far gone, that's a sign that I need
to cancel some activities." You can also use the presence of brain fog as a
signal to cut back. As one person in our program said, "When I'm too tired and
foggy to think, I put things off until the next day and get extra rest instead."
If you're not thinking clearly, postpone jobs that are mentally challenging,
switch to a simpler task or take a break. Postpone, Switch Tasks or Cancel
Activities Many fibromyalgia patients find mornings the best. The best time of
day varies from person to person.įor many ME/CFS and FM patients, that time is
mid-afternoon to early evening. Do the tasks that require concentration and
mental clarity during the hours you are sharpest. Most of us have better and
worse times of the day. If your fog is thickest in the morning, put out your
clothes the night before. For example, always put your keys in your purse when
you arrive home. Reduce fog by living a predictable life with routines: doing

problems are sometimes treated with stimulants, such as Provigil (modafinil) or
caffeine, but these substances can produce a push/crash cycle. Most people with
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) and many people with fibromyalgia experience
