Parental controls put you in the driver's seat when it comes to restricting
access to any content you deem inappropriate for your children to stream. Find

WHAT ARE PARENTAL CONTROLS?

Parental controls are features that parents can manage to restrict viewing based
on a ratings system. This could be content they deem inappropriate for their
children's age or maturity level, or content they feel is aimed more toward an
adult audience.

 




HOW DO I SET UP PARENTAL CONTROLS?

You can set up parental controls to manage content access with just a few simple
steps.

 1. Visit your account page on your computer or mobile web browser.
 2. Scroll down to the Parental Controls section. By default, the control will
    automatically be toggled OFF. Click the button to toggle the control ON.
    You'll be prompted to enter your Paramount+ password to continue.
 3. Click Submit to proceed.
 4. Next, create a 4-digit PIN and enter it in the fields displayed below the
    toggle control. Note: Your PIN will be required to watch restricted content
    during playback or when downloading.
 5. Below the PIN section, click on either the blue circle or the "lock" icon
    next to the rating, or click directly on the rating itself. Note that a blue
    icon/line indicates the rating is locked. A grey lock or line indicates the
    rating is unlocked. You can also choose to lock live TV. When live TV is
    locked, you will be prompted to enter your PIN to stream ANY channel, as
    well as Big Brother Live Feeds.
 6. Click "Save" to save your parental control settings. Shows with a locked
    rating will now require the PIN to watch.

That's it!

 




HOW DO PARENTAL CONTROLS WORK ONCE THEY'RE SET?

Every time you select a show with a rating that is locked by parental controls,
you (and any user) must enter the 4-digit PIN to start streaming that show.
You'll need to do this regardless of what supported device you are on. Once the
PIN has been entered, the show will automatically start streaming. Once you've
set controls, the PIN restrictions will apply to all supported devices that
share the same account.

 




HOW DO I CHANGE THE RATINGS I'VE SET FOR PARENTAL CONTROLS ON PARAMOUNT+?

You can manage your parental control settings with these steps:

 1. Visit paramountplus.com/account 
 2. Scroll down to the Parental Controls section, and the "Edit" link under the
    ON/OFF toggle.
 3. Enter your Paramount+ password when prompted. Parental control settings
    display upon successful password entry.
 4. Click "Submit" to save your updated settings.

You're all set! 

 



WHICH DEVICES ARE SUPPORTED FOR PARENTAL CONTROLS?

Once you set parental controls, it will restrict content of your choosing on the
Paramount+ app and these supported platforms and connected devices:

Desktop & mobile web (you can also turn controls on/off and manage ratings on
these two platforms)

 * iOS phone & tablet
 * Apple TV 4th generation (tvOS) & 5th generation (4K)
 * Android TV
 * Fire TV
 * Roku
 * PS4 and PS5
 * Xbox


NOTE: SAMSUNG AND VIZIO SMART TVS DO NOT CURRENTLY SUPPORT PARENTAL CONTROLS,
AND APPLE TV 2 & 3 WILL NOT SUPPORT PARENTAL CONTROLS.





HOW DO I MANAGE PARENTAL CONTROLS?

While parental controls are supported across devices and platforms, you'll need
to be on your desktop or mobile web in order to turn on and turn off this
feature. This means you cannot manage parental controls via the Paramount+ app
nor supported OTT devices. 
 




WHAT IF I FORGOT MY PIN?

You can reset your PIN with these simple steps:
 1. Visit your account page on your computer or mobile web browser, or select
    Forgot PIN on the login screen. You'll be taken to your account page.
 2. Enter your account password, and select Submit.
 3. Choose a new PIN, and select Save.

 




IS A PIN REQUIRED TO SWITCH BETWEEN PROFILES IN KIDS MODE?

Yes. Anyone who streams in Kids Mode will be prompted to enter the 4-digit PIN
you used to set up kids profiles, before they can switch between profiles. Note
that the PIN requirement affects all kids profiles and you, the account holder.

HOW DO I TURN OFF PARENTAL CONTROLS?

You can turn OFF parental controls via computer or mobile web with these steps:
 1. Visit your account page on your computer or mobile web browser, then scroll
    down to the Parental Controls section, and click the toggle button to OFF.
    You will be prompted to enter your Paramount+ password (the one you use to
    sign in to your account).
 2. Enter your password, then click Submit. The toggle now displays in the OFF
    mode (grey).
