What we do

We seek to contribute to global and national goals of reducing new HIV
infections, HIV related mortality and morbidity by focusing on the following
priority areas articulated in our strategic plan.

Increasing Access to Comprehensive HIV, GBV and SRH Services .Our theory of
change, provides a succinct overview of what we do and the impact we aim to
achieve.

We aim at ensuring equitable access to high quality HIV Prevention, HIV Testing
Services, HIV Care and Treatment and GBV services to all who need them.

Undertaking relevant Research, Learning and Knowledge Management

We generate, document and disseminate knowledge and evidence to improve internal
and external learning, accountability and decision-making. We undertake
operations and implementation science research and utilise evidence to advocate
for and provide technical support to governments for development, review and
implementation of policies.

Influencing policies

LVCT Health undertakes evidence informed policy advocacy and technical support
to governments and non-state actors for development, review and implementation
of policies that support improved access to, and quality of HIV and related
services for the populations that we serve. We engage in strategic partnerships
with other organisations for greater policy impact.

Strengthening health systems

In addition to directly delivering HIV services and programs, one of our biggest
roles is as a technical support resource for strengthening health systems in
Kenya. We do this through building technical and organisational capacities
Timisha model of local organisations, supporting counties and the national
government to strengthen HIV service delivery and reporting systems as well as
training and on job mentorship of health care workers and other service
providers.
