One Bite Closer to a Malaria Vaccine

Science Translational Medicine published new findings by Seattle Children’s
Research Institute’s Drs. Stefan Kappe and Ashley Vaughan and University of
Washington’s Dr. Sean Murphy showing a genetically engineered parasite vaccine
provides protection from controlled human malaria infection.


Factors Influencing Maternal Microchimerism Throughout Infancy

Researchers identify previously unknown factors that influence the number of
maternal cells transferred during pregnancy and show that these maternal cells
can strengthen infants’ T cell responses to a vaccine.

Malaria Vaccines
