AIMS & SCOPE:

Eliminating disparities in health and healthcare is a public health priority.
This Special Collection will focus on integrative health equity – the
application of integrative health approaches to achieve optimal health for all –
as a growing field. We will seek papers demonstrating how integrative medicine
can contribute to reducing health disparities and advancing health equity
through whole person, culturally appropriate care for vulnerable populations.  


POTENTIAL TOPICS LIST:

Priority topics include:

 * Integrative health interventions tailored for health disparities populations,
   including culturally and linguistically appropriate models

 * Improving representation of diverse populations in integrative health
   research

 * Scalability, dissemination, and implementation of integrative medicine for
   health disparities populations and in safety net settings

 * Research on how integrative health aligns with assets-based, community-based
   resources

 * Developing multilevel, integrative health strategies to address structural
   and social determinants of health

 * Novel methodological approaches for advancing integrative health equity

 * Training and workforce diversity in the field of complementary and
   integrative health
