EXCELLENCE IN CARE STANDARD


“IDENTIFYING, RECOGNISING AND CELEBRATING THOSE DELIVERING EXCELLENCE IN CARE”

The Excellence in Care Framework provides a national and international benchmark
that an establishment can use to start their journey of continuous improvement.
It both recognises and celebrates Excellence in Care.

This is an outcome-based framework, demonstrating an establishment’s commitment
to improving and sustaining improvements in the quality of care and service user
experience.

The EiC Framework recognises ‘excellence’, which means that any establishment
providing care will need to provide evidence not only in relation to what they
do, but how they are doing it and the impact this has on all service users.

As the requirements of each element are explored, current areas of good practice
for ‘Excellence in Care’ will be identified as well as highlight areas for
further improvement.
