STEVE TURNER ecHo Adventures was founded by a passionate young outdoorsman who grew up exploring the lakes and forests of the Southern Algonquin Wilderness. From a young age, he developed a deep love for nature and an active lifestyle. As a teenager, he was an active member of the scouting community, leading many advanced wilderness programs. He later apprenticed under some of Canada's legendary paddlers and studied Environmental Sciences at SSFC. After honing his skills, he went on to coach the Canadian white water paddling team in western Canada. He also worked as a demo paddler and instructor for other canoe companies and universities. Certified as a NOLS LNT and Outdoor Educator, he has also trained with Shamans in the twisted hair tradition. Returning to Southern Ontario, he founded ecHo Adventures, where he has had the privilege of teaching paddling and sharing his love of the outdoors with thousands of paddlers, young and old. ecHo Adventures has collaborated with universities, school boards, and YMCAs to provide exceptional outdoor experiences. After some time working in these roles, the founder took a break to become an advanced first aid instructor and a Nurse / Counselor, further enhancing his ability to provide safe and inclusive adventures.
