Digital Government is the use of ICT to improve the efficiency and effectiveness
of public sector operation and service delivery; or alternatively, the use by
governments of ICTs to transform relations with citizens, businesses and within
government. Digital government promotes and improves stakeholder contributions
to development, as well as deepens the governance process.

GOVERNMENT TECHNOLOGY STACK

The Government Technology Stack, emphasizing interoperability and efficiency,
reducing duplicated investments, and enabling rapid scaling for enhanced
government service delivery. The various layers of the Government Technology
Stack will be an enabler in implementing digital services.




E-GOVERNMENT PORTAL

The e-Government Portal is a website that will offer citizens and businesses
access to all public services from a single point. It will also allow users easy
access to the open data portal.

Secure data exchange refers to the process of transferring information between
parties in a way that ensures confidentiality, integrity, authenticity, and
availability of the exchanged data.

HOSTING & COMMUNICATION INFRASTRUCTURE

Digital infrastructure refers to the digital technologies that provide the
foundation for an organization’s information technology and operations.

CYBER SECURITY & GOVERNANCE

Cyber safety is important because cyber threats such as hacking, malware, and
identity theft can cause financial and reputational damage to individuals and
organizations.

DIGITAL SERVICES

We currently offer the following Digital services to all Government Departments
and Agencies at the National, Provincial and District Government levels. The
Digital Transformation Officer of these respective public bodies can enquire via
the onboarding online form.



DOMAIN NAME SYSTEM

All Government public bodies and Departments can now re-delegate all their
domain names (.gov.pg) to the Government Cloud Platform.



EMAIL HOSTING

Government public bodies can now host and manage their own Email Services.



VIRTUAL PRIVATE CLOUD

A virtual private cloud (VPC) is a secure, isolated private cloud hosted within
a public cloud.



APPLICATION HOSTING

Government public bodies can now build, deploy, host and manage their own
websites on the Government Cloud.




GOVERNANCE & STANDARDS

The Digital Standards represent a foundational guide for crafting government
digital services with simplicity, clarity, reliability, and trustworthiness.
Aimed at benefiting citizens and businesses, these principles ensure effective
design and delivery.


