WHAT WE OFFER

At NewCrew we believe in learning from experience to inspire students in shaping
their future careers. We do this by connecting high schools with the healthcare
industry where there is a big need for “NewCrew”.

Students can apply for an internship based on their interests. They can choose
from various jobs such as nursing or lab technician. We also offer internships
beyond the healthcare industry like HRM, administration jobs and so on.

FOR STUDENTS

Our program goes beyond simply experiencing what it’s like to work in real life.
It’s about discovering professions you may not have considered or even known
about. By working closely with professionals in the field, you’ll have the
opportunity to ask questions, learn about different career paths, and gain
insights that help you make informed decisions about your future studies and
career.

FOR HIGH SCHOOLS

This program is an excellent way for schools to build strong connections with
local industries, particularly in healthcare. By offering these opportunities,
schools can enhance their image as institutions that truly prepare students for
their next steps. It’s the perfect way to bridge the gap between high school
education and future studies, ensuring students are better equipped for the
challenges ahead.

FOR THE HEALTHCARE INDUSTRY

The healthcare sector in the Netherlands is facing a critical need for skilled
staff. By participating in our program, hospitals and other healthcare
organizations can introduce the next generation to the diverse careers available
in the field. It’s an opportunity to inspire and attract motivated young talent,
ensuring a sustainable future for the industry.


OUR SOLUTION IS BASED ON STUDENT’S NEEDS!

We conducted interviews with students who have already been through the
experience and ones who are going through the process of choosing a study right
now. Here are some things that students told us:

 * DON’T KNOW WHAT THEY WANT TO BECOME

“I did three studies and quit before this one. When I started studying I had
just turned 17 so I didn’t really know what I wanted to do.”

“I did not know myself. I did not know the market. I did not know what’s
possible what’s not possible.”

“I didn’t have any interest in any study so like my parents wanted me to do to
become a doctor, and it didn‘t matter if it was like a medicine doctor or a
dentist. So my parents were really the reason I chose for these two.” 

 * FOUND OUT WHAT THEY WANT THROUGH EXPERIENCE

“I finished my MBO Yeah. And then I took another gap here where I just started
working because I also didn’t quite know what to do exactly. And then I also
quickly found out that the MBO-level jobs kind of bored me after a while, so
that’s why I started home study if I excluded an athlete, I decided to go back.”

“I did law for one year. But I didn’t like it, so I quit. The job opportunities
are really good. And it seemed interesting to me so I picked it. You also have a
lot of opportunities to make money. I found out after studying the way lessons
were given. You sit there and you listen you don’t do anything it’s boring and
dry. That’s why I chose to study Business Innovation, this study is more
practical which I found out fits me better.”

 * HIGHSCHOOLS ARE NOT DOING ENOUGH

“I should have dived deeper into the options I got.”

“I had no idea what I wanted to do, and we had classes at school for it, and it
was useless. And, I mean, if I didn’t find this thing, I think I wouldn’t have
known at all what I want to do.”

“I knew a bit, but I also think it’s because of my high school because they
didn’t guide us well. And I went to one open day for example.”
