Darren Masters/Supplied Armed police have arrested two people in Sylvia Park Shopping Centre after a fight broke out. One St John ambulance and three rapid response units also responded to the fight, but were stood down by police. A worker in the mall said she saw police officers armed with rifles running through the building at about 1pm. “It all happened so fast. We closed our doors, so we were all safe inside. We never expected anything like this. “There were police officers and security guards everywhere. A few people running around,” she said. Employees at a nearby clothing store, Max, said they saw a large police presence around the nearby Michael Hill store. Darren Masters/Supplied Both men involved in the incident are in custody and will be facing charges relating to fighting in a public place, police said. A fog cannon seemed to have gone off, as the employee could see the smoke-like substance. The employee told Stuff she believed the incident was over and police were no longer on the scene.
