LEADERSHIP

Vlad Korolov
CEO & Co-Founder
Vlad Korolov
CEO & Co-Founder

CEO and co-founder Vlad Korolev started Gunzilla from the desire to “make
something that gamers want”.

Vlad began his career in digital banking, running the commercial department of
payment-processing company. Before long, he decided to head out on his own and
co-founded Paymo, a successful integrated-payment solution for online
marketplaces. He then launched a financial-tech startup, where he devised an
integrated IT system to facilitates communication between banks and clients,
which was used by 40+ banks.

After an incredibly successful decade in Fintech, where he earned valuable
experience in building cutting-edge tech from scratch, Vlad left to pursue his
true calling… videogames. He entered the industry by combining his deep
expertise in tech with a lifelong love for games, co-founding the popular
matchmaking app PLINK with Alex Zoll. Following PLINK’s continued success (over
5million users in the US alone), Vlad and Alex joined forces to found Gunzilla
Games in early 2020.

Vlad’s love for gaming is lifelong, having blossomed in 8th grade when he
single-handedly launched a website offering free videogames. This passion, plus
the comprehensive background in digital platforms and technology, demonstrates
that he possesses the knowledge to lead a player-focused studio to its ambitious
goals. He is also a partner and board member of GAMEGROOVE, ensuring Gunzilla
has a strong financial and advisory foundation to build from.

Alex Zoll
Chief Strategy Officer & Co-Founder
Alex Zoll

leading the development of the wildly successful online shooter Warface; a title
that boasts more than 140 million users worldwide.

Alongside timely experience in delivering world-renowned videogames, Alex is the
CEO of GAMEGROOVE. This US-based holding unites more than 20 gaming-related
projects, providing vital funding and access to a wealth of time-served industry
experience and support. He also co-founded and sits on the board of several
thriving gaming companies, including Blackwood Games, PLINK, and Sonus. He was
also a former CEO and board member of Crytek Kyiv.

Alex co-founded Gunzilla with the desire to craft experiences that put gamers at
the forefront, from development to release and beyond.

Neill Blomkamp
Chief Visionary Officer
Neill Blomkamp
Chief Visionary Officer

Neill is a director, screenwriter, producer, and visual effects artist, renowned
for blending nature and photo-realistic CGI to create immersive and believable
sci-fi worlds.

Neill cemented himself in movie-goers' minds with his thematically daring and
visually inventive debut, District 9. Alongside quickly becoming a modern sci-fi
classic, it was nominated for Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Film
Editing, and Best Visual Effects at the 82nd Academy Awards. Afterward, Neill
continued his path in Hollywood, writing and directing Elysium and Chappie,
where he further explored his unique approach to sci-fi storytelling and
cinematic spectacle.

In 2017,Neill co-founded Oats Studios, where he creates experimental movies
distributed via YouTube and Steam, such as Conviction, the live-action trailer
for Bioware’s Anthem. Earlier in his career, Neill also directed Halo: Landfall,
a film promoting Halo 3.

Neill is thrilled to be entering videogame development in a more involved
capacity. He’s interested in how the industry communicates with its fans,
stating that games are a highly creative frontier that he’s excited to explore.

Timur Davidenko
Chief Technical Officer
Timur Davidenko
Chief Technical Officer

Timur began his career as a programmer in 1998 before joining Crytek in 2001,
subsequently spending 18 years in development and senior technical roles. He
left the company in 2020 after leading the development of CRYENGINE as technical
director, which included contributing to the Far Cry and Crysis series, and
Warface, Hunt, and Ryse.

Timur brings two decades of hands-on experience and extensive knowledge to the
role of Chief Technology Officer, ensuring Gunzilla utilizes the most current
technology and forges on in the right direction. Before his career in game
development, Timur was active in the demoscene, winning first place in several
contests in his home country of Israel.

Scott Probin
Studio Director
Scott Probin
Studio Director

Scott has over 32 years in game production and design, including time at
Ubisoft, EA, THQ, and Silicon Knights.

Beginning his career at Electronic Arts UK in 1988 at just 16 years old, he
earned credits on over 40 games, such as EA Sports’ NHL series, the Need for
Speed franchise, Populous 2, Powermonger, and Space Hulk.

As Gunzilla’s game director, Scott is tasked with building and leading the
design team and making the creative director’s vision a reality.

Scott's main goal at Gunzilla is to get the passion back into the people making
games. “Making games should be the most fun job you'll ever have and everyone's
opinion should be respected, regardless of role or seniority.”

Krasimir Nechevski
Animation Director
Krasimir Nechevski
Animation Director

Krasimir’s steadfast work ethic and passion for gaming both manifested at an
early age. Bored with the games on offer during his childhood, he decided to
teach himself how to code so that he could make better games!

Refining his self-taught skills throughout the years, Krasimir achieved a degree
in software engineering from the Technical University in Sofia, all while
creating the artwork for his own games at the same time. This dedication to his
craft saw Krasimir land his first job in the gaming industry at 22, and he
became Animation Lead in just two years.

Krasimir’s multi-faceted skill set and refusal to make do with existing methods
culminated in several incredible projects during his time at Unity. There, he
directed the animation for Adam, a Webby-award-winning short film featuring
robots.

He went on to work on Unity’s next short film, Heretic, shifting from robot
characters to humans. Just like the video games of his youth, existing methods
for animating human characters didn’t impress Krasimir...so he used unorthodox
techniques instead, resulting in a stunning sense of realism in the final
product.

Krasimir brings to Gunzilla an unrivaled portfolio of animation work, and his
people-first leadership approach and desire to explore animation in its purest
form directs Gunzilla’s Animation team toward incredible new methods and
techniques.

Like many of us here at Gunzilla, Krasimir enjoys unwinding after work with a
good video game session. He’s also fascinated by artificial intelligence and
spends a lot of his time studying how it works. But you might also catch him
chilling out with his guitar too!

Jerry Liu
Chief Innovation Officer
Jerry Liu
Chief Innovation Officer

As Chief Innovation Officer, Jerry Liu aims to push the limits of emergent
behaviors, cutting-edge designs, and the creation of new digital economies that
will set a precedent for building games in the future.

Born in Australia and raised with Chinese Neo-Confucian values in America, Jerry
will bring concepts that express both Eastern and Western values. As someone who
loves stories that showcase deconstructionist and reconstructionist
commentaries, his inspirations come from films such as District 9, Children of
Men, and Ghost in the Shell and games such as Nier, The Stanley Parable, and
Braid.

From theory-crafting in World of Warcraft, exploring off angles in
Counter-Strike, and exploiting input buffering frame cancellations in Souls,
Jerry is a gamer at heart but also maintains the philosophy that before you can
innovate on something, you must first thoroughly break it.

Jerry previously led a $400m fund that focused on helping founders navigate the
complex nature of their digital economies. He pioneered several innovations in
go-to-market, an intricate suite of game mechanics and game theory that led to
multi-billions in dollar value traded daily.

In doing this, Jerry has mastered navigating the volatile terrain of digital
assets while maintaining a healthy economy. This sets him up perfectly to
support new digital ecosystems in gaming, designed and innovated with players in
mind.

Carla Haces
Chief Communications & Marketing Officer
Carla Haces
Chief Communications & Marketing Officer

Carla’s path to becoming a leader in Marketing and Communications within the
games industry started back in high school when she discovered she had a passion
for all things communications, marketing, and setting teams up for success.

Fast forward — a love for World of Warcraft coupled with her communication
skills led Carla to land a role at Blizzard Entertainment, after which she
eventually transitioned into the company’s PR department. At Blizzard
Entertainment, Carla developed her skills by being a part of the European
Communications team, helping to implement pan-European and Global Communications
Strategies.

At that point, Carla decided to reinforce her skills in the field of
Communications by obtaining three Master’s-degree-level diplomas at the U.K.’s
renowned Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR).

Carla spent a few short years working with a variety of well-known clients in
the B2B and B2C space during her years at Big Games Machine and Heaven Media.

Now, Carla is leading Gunzilla’s Marketing, Communications, and Events
departments as the studio gears up towards an incredibly significant time in its
history.

Originally from Latin America, Carla has lived in over 12 countries throughout
her life and can often be found hiking mountains or swimming in the sea.

And let’s not forget, she also loves her car, cats (she has three), and all
things Halloween!

Nikolas Gekko
Lead Art Director
Nikolas Gekko
Lead Art Director

Nikolas loved drawing since childhood, and it always came naturally to him. A
fan of games, he decided to bring his artistic skills and visual intelligence to
the industry, which led to a prolific career. Over the years Nikolas shaped the
visual style of many AAA titles, including Far Cry Primal, Call of Duty: WWII,
Halo Infinite, Destiny, Battlefield 2042 and many more. His work was noticed by
Neill Blomkamp, who asked him to create a number of concepts for Off The Grid.
Since Nikolas made an indelible mark on some of the biggest multiplayer shooters
of the last years and OTG as well, he was a perfect fit for Gunzilla.

Nikolas’ talent extends beyond games: he creates concepts for Hollywood
blockbusters, most recently Netflix’s The Gray Man. He’s also experimenting with
photography, including shooting with drones and GoPro cameras. Outside of all
these creative pursuits, Nikolas is an avid traveler and does scale modelling to
unwind.

Marina Danylyuk
Chief Legal Officer
Marina Danylyuk
Chief Legal Officer

Though her first qualification (of many!) was in economics, Marina's unrivaled
knack for negotiation and mediation ushered her toward a hugely successful
career in the legal sector.

Detail-oriented, Marina always had a fascination with the products and services
her employers offered, beyond the scope of her lawyer-based roles. This led her
to develop an interest and expertise in blockchain technology, eventually
becoming a legal advisor for the Swiss Blockchain Legal. Marina is also the
co-founder of MiBit OÜ, a FinTech and blockchain consulting company.

Marina has earned many academic achievements alongside her career successes,
including a master's degree in international economics, a bachelor's degree in
law, a specialist diploma, and a further master's degree in law.

Armed with her extensive experience in legal matters relating to blockchain
technology, Marina eventually combined her career with her passion for video
games, joining Gunzilla Games in 2023 as its Chief Legal Officer.

Marina likes to relax after work by going to school…at Hogwarts. But when she's
not booting up Hogwarts Legacy, Marina is out on the green refining her golfing
skills!

Dmitriy Markov

school. His professional purpose became clearer when he joined 4A Games to work
on Metro: Exodus. Dmitriy worked on the franchise as Lead Gameplay Developer and
then Game Technical Director for 4A Engine, also having a hand in Arktika.1, one
of the first high-quality VR shooters for Oculus Rift.

Alongside his professional career, Dmitriy has been giving lectures on game
development and programming in Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. Combining deep
knowledge on how to make solid games with teaching others to excel in that and
his organization skills, Dmitriy always tries to build a team of people who
would become friends in the process of building standout games and have fun
while at it.

Volodymyr studied music and art before pursuing a career in composition and
sound design, using his training, experience, and passion to explore the vital
connection between visuals and audio. He entered the videogame industry creating
audio for mobile series Cut the Rope, working his way through various titles to
his most recent gaming accomplishment on the critically acclaimed Metro Exodus.

Alongside work on videogames, Volodymyr has comprehensive experience in many
facets of music production and sounds design, from working with AC/DC and Sony
Music to running his own virtual instrument company, Strix Instruments. With
Strix, he created the incredible PRIPYAT Pianos audio plug-in used on the HBO
Chernobyl series, which required seven years of recording within the exclusion
zone itself.

award-winning novel and subsequent Netflix series Altered Carbon. Other notable
works include Thirteen (Arthur C. Clarke Award), Market Forces (John W. Campbell

Kiran Pulicheri
Technical Art Director
Kiran Pulicheri
Technical Art Director

Kiran had set his sights on a master's degree in Business Administration, but
all changed when he watched Jurassic Park, which inspired him to learn 3D Art.
During his studies, game art production in particular caught his attention — and
it hasn’t let go since.

Kiran’s first job was with a budding Indian studio as a 3D generalist. With a
keen interest in the craft, he also excelled at working in a multi-disciplinary
team and soon found that creating effective pipelines was his jam.

One of Kiran’s first major achievements was developing Desi Adda: Games of
India, the first Indian game to hit PlayStation Network, both for PS2 and PSP.
Later he joined Dhruva Interactive, an art services studio, where he worked as
Tech Art Lead on multiple AAA projects like Control, Death Stranding, Marvel’s
Avengers and many more. Before Gunzilla, Kiran had been putting his skills into
creating Far Cry 6 for around three years.

Outside game dev, Kiran loves getting lost in single-player RPGs and the
Assassin’s Creed franchise, as well as watching movies, mostly suspense films
and thrillers. His passion never lets go of him though — when Kiran has free
time, he experiments with creating tools for art production.

the video game industry. In his new role as Head of Customer Experience,

age of Atari and Commodore 64. Nowadays, he plays Call of Duty, Apex Legends,
Fortnite, and Overwatch on four separate consoles with his wife and two children
at home.

In his spare time, Theodore enjoys playing soccer, snowboarding, e-foiling, and
navigating conference calls on his electric unicycle.
