FUTURE PAVE

HELPING TO BUILD TOMORROW’S INFRASTRUCTURE WITH TODAY’S PLASTIC WASTE.

A revolutionary sustainable aggregate alternative designed for pathways and
kerbs.

THE PATH TO A

MORE SUSTAINABLE FUTURE

ECO-FRIENDLY SOLUTION.

Future Pave provides a great end of life alternative for plastics, contained
within the concrete for The duration of the asset.

ABOUT FUTURE AGGREGATES

At Future Aggregates we are passionate about facilitating positive outcomes for
problematic mixed plastic waste. We are wholly Australian owned and operated,
the business was formed as a partnership between APS Civil and Drainage a
Melbourne based Civil Contracting business, and Cromford Film a Sydney based
manufacturer of recycled plastic products. Leveraging on decades of experience
in their respective areas of business, Future Aggregates are excited to offer
locally made Future Pave recycled plastic aggregate to the market, for use in a
wide array of concrete applications.

ABOUT FUTURE PAVE

Some plastics can be difficult to recycle due to mixed polymer compositions and
contamination. The complexity and different types of plastic available on the
market are what makes it so efficient at extending the shelf life of our foods,
and moving us
from A to B in our cars, planes and trains! Plastic is an integral part of our
everyday lives, however the problem facing Australia is what we do with plastic
once it has served its purpose.

At Future Aggregates we have designed an innovative product which allows us to
repurpose difficult to recycle plastics (both rigid and flexible) that would
otherwise be destined for landfill. Our Future Pave recycled plastic aggregate
is suitable for use in
non-structural concrete such as pathways and kerbs.

SOLUTIONS FOR RIGID OR FLEXIBLE PLASTICS

It is a common misconception that soft plastics are the only difficult plastics
to
recycle. Whilst they are more difficult due to their complex structures, the
recycling rates of some rigid plastics are also very low, and some more complex
rigid plastics also require attention! Our mission is to find more sustainable
outcomes for all difficult to recycle plastics! Whether an item is rigid or
scrunchy, none of it should be going to landfill

WHY CHOOSE US

WHY CHOOSE US

 * Easier to work with, Future Pave is lighter than traditional aggregates,
making concrete easier to work with.
 * Easier to handle, Future Pave can be supplied in pre-weighed, easy to handle
20kg bags to enable easy handling by batch plants.
 * Efficient, Future Pave achieves the same sustainable outcome as other Polymer
Aggregates with less adjustment to the concrete formulation.
 * Manufactured by experts, Cromford Film’s 43 years’ experience in
manufacturing products from recycled plastic in Australia, combined with the
civil engineering / construction experience of our Future Aggregates
Management Team has allowed us to carefully design a product which is not
only sustainable and durable, but suitable on-site as well.
 * Achieve MAV Procurement Guidelines, Future Pave assists councils in achieving
sustainability targets as set out in Municipal Association of Victoria
Procurement Guidelines. We do this by reducing the consumption of mined
aggregates and re-using recycled, polymer aggregate.

DID YOU KNOW

IMPORTANT PLASTIC WASTAGE FACTS

Export Bans now in place mean that the solution to our plastic waste problem has
to come locally. With every metre of Future Pave path we are contributing to a
sustainable outcome for difficult to recycle mixed plastics waste.

1.

1 AUSTRALIAN = 130KG PLASTIC WASTE

In 2022, Australians used over 3 million tonnes collectively or approximately
130kg of plastic per person.

2.

1KM FOOTPATH = 4,000KG PLASTIC

For every kilometre of footpath using Future Pave, 4,263kg of plastic is
diverted from landfill. Based on 22kg per cube and 187 cubes per km.

3.

PLASTIC = 200YEARS+ IN LANDFILL

It is estimated that plastic can take anywhere between 200-500 years to
decompose in landfill, so Future Pave is creating a more positive outcome,
contributing to tomorrow’s infrastructure!
