LARA HARDY Fremantle raised, now residing in a quiet beachside town in the Tasmania, Graphic Artist Lara Hardy has been drawing her whole life. From winning a state art competition in WA at age 9, she pursued artistic studies through upper school, followed by 2 years full time study in Fine Art. She then spent a number of years in the high end commercial print and packaging industry, developing a love for boutique packaging design and print media. Lara then relocated to Tasmania in 2009 with her husband. With a strong desire to become more commercially accepted as an artist, Lara furthered her studies in Graphic Design and Multimedia. After the birth of daughter Billie in 2012, Lara found the inspiration she needed to start Billie Hardy Creative (formally Billie Hardy Artistic Design). In late 2012 she began Illustrating again, and quickly became another facet of a growing passion which has developed a loyal and loving following from around Australia and beyond. After the birth of Sunny Raymond in 2015, Lara now is able to run her successful design business from home, between playing Mum and spending time in her beloved garden. Billie Hardy Creative is now a successful full time love affair for Lara and continually grows from strength to strength. It allows her to reveal her soft, delicate and organic style in artwork, company logos and commercial print. PASSION FOR WILDLIFE Lara and her family are very passionate about Wildlife, and care for injured Birds of Prey in their NW Tasmanian home (Raptor Care NW), Something Lara's husband Adam has done for over 35 years. For 5 years now Lara has been donating 2.5% of all Illustration sales to Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary in Hobart, Tasmania's south.
