The Faculty Success Program community supports your success. Interact with other
program participants, ask questions, get feedback, share resources, and exchange

QUESTIONS ABOUT FSP?

We've answered a few common questions about FSP below. Visit our FAQ page for a
more comprehensive list!
Frequently Asked Questions about FSP

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Each FSP participant is assigned to a small group that is led by an
NCFDD-Certified Coach. Every week, participants meet for their small-group call
with their coach. During this call, participants will share their goals for the
week as well as review the previous week’s goals.

Participants will complete the self-directed weekly modules as well as
coach-guided homework every week. Every week-day during the program,
participants will log on to the FSP platform, WriteNow, to check in and track
their daily progress on writing, research, and personal goals.

By the end of the program, participants will have developed the skills and
habits they need to move forward with increased research and writing
productivity and a better work-life balance.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR FSP?

The Faculty Success Program is open to non-tenure*, tenure track, and tenured
faculty members.

To enroll in FSP, participants must have an active NCFDD membership. If you do
not have a current membership, click here to learn more about how to join the
NCFDD.

*Non-tenure faculty must have the following qualifications:

 * Have completed their terminal degree (most commonly their PhD) and are
currently in a long-term contract or permanent position at their institution.
 * Their current role shares significant similarities with common tenure
promotion considerations (with a heavy emphasis on research and publication)
and the overall timeline is shared with common tenure-track positions.

Participants who are working on their dissertation or who are currently on the
job market and hoping to secure a position prior to the program do not currently
qualify to enroll in the Faculty Success Program.

HOW WILL FSP FIT INTO YOUR SCHEDULE?

FSP participants should anticipate spending 1.5 - 2 hours each week watching the
weekly training videos and completing the homework assignments.

Additionally, FSP participants will meet with their small group and coach for a
75-minute call every week at a recurring time. Participants are asked to select
one of the following times.

 * Tuesdays - 12pm-1:15pm ET / 11am-12:15pm CT / 10am-11:15am MT / 9am-10:15am

WHAT OUR FSP PARTICIPANTS ARE SAYING

“

"As someone who is interested in productivity broadly, I came into FSP expecting
a redundant overview of things I already knew from books, podcasts, and other
workshops. I was surprised to find that the FSP program not only had curated a
novel curriculum of advances and knowledge in productivity and professional
development, but the program also helped me adopt best practices and habits into
my daily life in a multi-faceted, tangible way that impacted every area of my
life. I am sincerely looking forward to participating in the FSP again as an
alum."
