Agreement plus Order Documents plus Service Policy equals Contract AN ORACLE AGREEMENT EXPLAINER Open all Close all * * Oracle has two primary agreements used for the sale of its products and services: the Cloud Services Agreement (CSA) and the Oracle Master Agreement (OMA). Each are available as either a transactional agreement or a five-year-term agreement. To determine which agreement is best for you, check out the table below: PRODUCT/SERVICE HOW DO YOU PREFER TO BUY? BEST ORACLE AGREEMENT Cloud Services 1 transaction at a time Cloud Services Agreement: a transactional agreement available online, the simplest way to order Cloud Services Many orders in the next 5 years Cloud Services Agreement (five-year term) Software, hardware, cloud, and related services 1 transaction at a time Online Transactional Oracle Master Agreement: the simplest way to order Software, hardware, cloud, and related services Many orders in the next 5 years Oracle Master Agreement (five-year term) * What is a transactional agreement? A transactional agreement is used for a one-time purchase of Oracle products and services. Many customers use the transactional agreement for all of their orders as this can often be the fastest way to order. * What is a five-year-term master agreement? This kind of agreement is valid for five years and can be used to cover multiple purchases of Oracle products and services during the term. * When should a transactional agreement be used? Transactional agreements are used for one-time orders. Customers making a single purchase of Oracle’s cloud services should use the online CSA. Customers making a single purchase of software, hardware, or services should use the Online Transactional Oracle Master Agreement. * When should a five-year-term master agreement be used? A five-year-term master agreement is used for multiple purchases of any combination of software, hardware, cloud, and other services. The OMA provides a single contract covering any combination of software, hardware, cloud, and other services for a period of five years. For multiple purchases of cloud services (but not other products or services), the CSA is our master agreement specifically for cloud services and provides a single contract covering all cloud purchases for a period of five years. * I want to buy Oracle Cloud Services. What agreement should I use? For a one-time purchase, use the online Cloud Services Agreement. If you are going to be making several purchases, use the five-year-term version of the Cloud Services Agreement. * I want to make a one-time purchase of Oracle on-premises software, technical support, or other products and services. What agreement should I use? For a one-time purchase of Oracle on-premises software, hardware, and other products and services, use the Online Transactional OMA. * I will be purchasing Oracle products and services over the next year or more. What agreement should I use? If you will be purchasing only cloud and related services, the Cloud Services Agreement covers multiple purchases of cloud services. If you will be making purchases across Oracle’s many product lines, the Oracle Master Agreement covers multiple purchases of various products and services, including software, hardware, cloud services, technical support services, and professional services.
