Innovation Roundtable® Chicago, IL 

 Fantastic day spent learning about GenerativeAI use cases, adoption of Agile to attain Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Transformation regardless of industry. 

 From Google to DHL to Procter & Gamble to  PepsiCo; it didn’t matter whether Products were software, hardware, logistics, simply everyday food or consumer products, the mindset and approach was attainment of Innovation, growth and disruption. 

 There were AI based case studies, innovations and applications discussed throughout the day that showcased success (and some failures too!). 

As always, I am humbled and honored to be working for an organization that fosters growth and I can come back energized to apply all the learnings!

In today's VUCA world, leading effectively demands a unique dance – one where we're deeply involved in the action, yet simultaneously maintain a bird's eye view. Think of it as a balance between the dancefloor and the balcony.

Recently, I had the honor of addressing a gathering at the Innovation Roundtable® in the stunning city of Paris, graciously hosted by Thales . My focus was on the essence of "Fostering an Agile Culture and Mindset."

We delved into:

The Expert Stage: Where honing problem-solving skills is crucial for thriving in innovative and demanding settings.

The Achiever Stage: Pivotal for goal-setting and steering strategy.

The Catalyst Stage: Envisioning a brighter future and cultivating an environment where everyone can flourish.

As we mature through these leadership stages, our grasp on contextual nuances and relationship dynamics strengthens. It equips us to seamlessly shift from the immersive dancefloor to the panoramic balcony. This adaptability is paramount, particularly when dealing with intricate challenges and making pivotal decisions.

A resonant takeaway was the necessity for leaders to adopt diverse viewpoints. The event's myriad conversations underscored that this is a mutual challenge, one that's echoing across multinational corporations.

Thank you everyone at Innovation Roundtable® today in Paris discussing with Tihomir Vollmann-Popovic and me “who stole the agility of teams after initial honeymoon of first adaption”

One of my favorite takeaways out of the discussion is that “AGILITY is dead … long lives agility” 

AGILE meaning all the methods etc. and that organizations have to find ways on how they are implentinig their own agile principles and thinking in their ways of working.

 Just attended another enriching workshop from Innovation Roundtable® on "#AI Opportunities and #Tech #Foresight". 
Below my key learnings  : 
-  Corporates have just scratched the surface of the application potential of #GenAI. While chatbots have been the main focus so far, there are countless other possibilities to explore, such as intent detection and support functions. For many companies content creation for marketing purposes has been put on hold due to concerns about IP infringement.
-  To navigate this evolving landscape, organisations need to adopt nimble and agile approaches. By experimenting with different applications and accepting failures the right fit will be found. Creating and moderating communities across the organisation can be a powerful way to foster collaboration and drive innovation.

Few take aways from Innovation Roundtable® in Stockholm.

1. Circularity/recycling  and co2 reduction is not the same, but you should focus on both to become sustainable. 
2. Lots of focus have been on making products sustainable and show how sustainable consumers are in the app. There's so much more potential in apps of IoT products which can not only show how m7ch less CO2 consumer used, but also provide data to make service of the product more sustainable and increase the UX.
3. Whatever sustainable product or process you offer needs to be not only what consumer are willing to buy but also able to pay.
4. Something that I really resonate with is the learnings (see photo) from organizational transformation attempt 1 in B/S/H. This is very on point.

I chaired two roundtable discussions at the Innovation Roundtable® on "Building Next Practices for Sustainability & Circularity" in Copehagen yesterday. 

Two things stood out:

1) Carbon footprint traceability is a very hot topic and we need to help each other across the value chain to get it place fast enough. I think we need a very pragmatic approach to start with and then gradually develop.

2) Circularity is a must - it will not be enough to aim for net zero for a sustainable future. The degree of maturity varies a lot for the companies I discussed with. Same thing there I think - be pragmatic and try.

Copenhagen showed itself from the sunny side :)

Today, my colleague Francesca Teocoli  and I had the opportunity to participate in the “Circularity 2.0, Net Zero, and Ecosystems” workshop, which was excellently organized by the  Innovation Roundtable®  and hosted by the Innovation Centre Denmark. The event attracted a diverse audience of 100+ participants, representing a wide range of industries, including notable companies such as Vestas, Lego, Volvo, BASF, IKEA, Electrolux, GE Healthcare, Henkel, Boeing, and many others.

The primary focus of the workshop centered on optimizing our products for sustainability and circularity, considering economic factors, social perceptions, collaboration strategies, regulatory challenges, and more. It was highly effective as it provided us with the chance to engage in meaningful discussions within small groups and gain insights into the sustainability initiatives of various industries.

One prevalent challenge discussed was the delicate balance between product quality, cost, and sustainability. However, it was inspiring to witness the emergence of ideas aimed at addressing these challenges.

To add a touch of inspiration, I’m sharing an example of a sustainable product, along with some beautiful views from the charming city of Copenhagen.
