Hi, I’m Aron Meystedt. I’ve been in the business of domain names and digital
assets for 20 years. I acquire high-end and hard-to-locate domain names for
startups, investors and entrepreneurs. I am also working on a few startup
concepts as well.

Along the way, I became the owner of the very first .com registered on the
Internet: Symbolics.com. The site hosts an Internet museum which is visited by
tens of thousands of curious web surfers annually. Symbolics.com is often
covered in major media, having appeared in: CNN, NY Times, WSJ, Forbes, Venture
Beat, Tech Crunch, Mashable, PC World, CNET and many more.

I also am an investor and collector of numerous things: Japanese cars, sports
cards, vintage video games and sneakers.

I can be reached via the form here on Napkin.com or on social media below.
We aren’t growing right now, but be sure to sign up for our email list and we’ll
announce new things that are happening.

We are always starting new ventures and will post here when we need help. Also
be sure to follow us on social media.
Come back here for our thoughts. Perhaps a blog, perhaps a newsletter.

Sign up for updates here and we’ll send you a free ebook that we wrote about the
Internet and the digital economy!
We are really into ‘one of one’ items. Domain names are the ultimate ‘one of
one’. They are NFTs before NFTs. They are NFTs with an actual use case. Global
business operates online and while social media is a great marketing channel,
domain names remain the real estate of the Internet.

We love short .com names. 2 letters, 3 letters and short words.

According to the latest data from Verisign, there are ~ 350 million registered
domain names and that number is growing by well over 10 million registrations
annually. The naming space is expanding.
There are approximately 1600 different extensions like .com, .net, .xyz and .io.
Startups have found their place and have had great success launching on
secondary extensions, while major companies seem to always gravitate to the
.com.

While the naming space is vast and only growing, there remains a finite number
of truly premium domain names – and that interests us greatly.

There are only 676 combinations of 2 letter .com domains. We’ve owned 10 of them
in the past.
There are only 17,576 combinations of 3 letter .com domains.
These numbers are easy to wrap your head around when you compare them to other
speculative items like NFTs, sports cards and gold.

We’re seeing the most demand for short, one word .com names like amazon.com,
apple.com, blue.com, uber.com etc.
The domain name space is incredibly interesting and we’re always buying quality
names, if they fit the criteria above.
Countless ideas started on the back of a napkin. We love big ideas.

At Napkin.com we invest in startups and alternate assets. Our portfolio includes
rare and valuable domain assets such as march.com, deadstock.com and TYM.com. We
also speculate in other markets like collectibles. We are really interested in
rare items across the entire collectibles spectrum.
For startups, we mainly invest in people we know. Friends and friends of
friends.

We love watching big ideas take shape. When you pair a great founder with a big
market and an unfair advantage, great things happen!

A few of our domain name assets are:
napkin.com
march.com
TYM.com
symbolics.com (first .com on the Internet)
deadstock.com
lunatic.com
shotput.com
RLJ.com
poppi.com
axie.com
medicalsoftware.com

Feel free to contact us here.

We really don't accept startup pitches for angel investing -- as those
activities come through introductions from people we know.

Pitch us your domain names and other rare items here... remember, we're
investors and we like short .com names and other rare items.
