Singapore is a country with rule of law, and nobody in Singapore is above the law. I need you to sign this petition to encourage the investigation, and would submit this petition to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Minister Shanmugam to compel the investigation of this Sri Lankan President who is in Singapore now. This is my police report for your reference; Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has just landed on Republic of Singapore around 717pm. As a result of this, my loyalty to Republic of Singapore compels me to make a police report on this President. On potential breach of our Money Laundering Laws. The reason and basis of my police report is listed as follows; 1) Sri Lanka is now facing a serious shortage problem with respect to food, fuel and other basic necessities. In large part, it is seen as mismanagement of Sri Lankan Governmental Mismanagement. As large amount of reserves amounting to billions of USD is involved. 2) Potential corruption problem, which means the money the President brings with him to Republic of Singapore is highly suspicious as it may contain money belonging to Sri Lanka and not to the President. 3) He is also considered a Politically Exposed Person (PEP), and that means the money he has brought along with him or has transferred via the International SWIFT system must be carefully scrutinized to ensure all the money he has with him is totally legal, and that is earned through his salary as the President of Sri Lanka. As of police report time, it is unknown whether he has submitted yet his resignation as President of Sri Lanka. If he has yet to submit, he remains undoubtably still the President of Sri Lanka. 4) Also at the meantime, I do understand that while passing through the customs, there is a law that prevents travelers from taking with them up to 10k / 20k of cash of similar instruments (including gold / silver of similar value) without declaration. Did the custom check whether he is carrying that amount of cash / similar instruments? I got to know that he has some expressed private lane which such checks may have been skipped. 5) Also please do check his mobile phones or computers for any potential cryptocurrencies that he may be bringing along with him. I respect Singapore's stance against cryptocurrency and that such high standards must be applied more stringently to a present (since not yet resigned) Head of Government / State of Sri Lanka. 6) Proper checks involve (and not limited to) source of income, and the amount, and whether such an amount through his years of service match with the amount that he has with him (or what has been transferred via the international SWIFT system). I understand that he is here on a social visit pass and not via the invitation of our government. I praise our government for being smart not to be the one inviting him to land on our shores. However, do note that while he is here, he is bound to buy food (chicken rice and stuff) or live in a hotel, we have to be sure that the money brought with him does not legally belong to Sri Lanka and only belongs to him. If his money is tainted, you let dirty money taint the bank accounts of our honest hawkers / restaurants who may sell food and receive money that is tainted. You must investigate him, and should you find any illegal activities you are to arrest him and charge him according to Singapore Laws. We cannot allow laundered money to come to Singapore shores. Dear police officers, you must protect the great image that Singapore has. With all the good governance that we are known for, and you can start to show this to the international community by investigating the Sri Lankan President.
